My mother always described me as "solid"....which I can agree with I suppose. Is "solid" a shape? Eh...maybe not.

I merely describe it as "mine" because no one has the same body as me...

My dad calls my body type "fat"

My mom calls my body type "okay just the way you are"

I think I prefer mine

May I cite an old Commodores' song?

    "She's a brick----house
She's the one, the only one,
    who's built like a amazon"

At least, that's according to my husband. He sings or hums it every time he comes into the room when I'm working out. He's sweet.

However, I would describe my body as fit, but showing average wear and tear for a 40 year old woman. Overall, I'm happy with my body. I'm strong, have good muscle tone and nice proportions (probably hourglass is the most accurate, because I am not a pear, apple or ruler) - but I also have scars, a few spider veins and stretch marks.

For me....When someone asks me I used to say 'thick'....I hate 'pleasantly plump' or 'chubby' - I have been called both in my younger days....Hated it....

Another good one is 'Full-Figured' b/c that is what I am....Once I lose my weight I will be curvy b/c I have an hourglass figure which I love - When I am smaller anyways... :)

    Lumpy but getting better

    This^^

    Agreed
  • definitely pear, very full hips and thighs and full breasted, but shoulders and waist tend to be small. Almost an hourglass :(, rather be a curvy hourglass anyday rather than a pear. lol
  • Mine would be "athletic, wearing an inner tube"

hmmm I would say I have a hourglass shape, I'm curvy, healthy, but slender in the right areas.
    I'm 5'4
    My current weight is 118
    current measurements 34-24-35

I'm happy with my body type but now I'm working on toning up my thighs & getting some stomach definition!

I don't fit the normal molds... I am not Pear, Apple, Hourglass. I am built like a box. There is no significant difference between my waist and my hips. My bust is somewhat larger, but not huge.

My torso is extremely long, and though I am about 5'8.5 I wear petite pants. I have a very high waist.

Needless to say, finding clothing that fits me is insanely difficult.

I just say I am Obese. I used to say Morbidly... and I hope to be saying "overweight" sometime soon.

    I call myself a chubsters.

I am to myself a pretty chubby girl.

But I do have some sort of shape...

    Chest: 38"
    Waist: 34"
    Hips: 42"

I dont look like a round blob.

I hate the term curvy, bc most people dont know how to define curvy.

Let's face it ladies we are chubby to be curvy your curves would be more defined.
