I never thought I'd be able to do it, so I'm posting just to say: if you're thinking you want to, but thinking you can't - don't believe yourself!!

    Thanks everyone xD

I would just like to add - when I started I needed at least 3 puffs of my inhlaer (before I got out of the door....lol, jokes) during the "ordeal" but now I don't even take one with me!!

You guys will just be amazed at how your body adapts! :)

So nice seeing so many people getting out there using the programme!

Go out and have some fun guys! I've actually blogged my way through most of it if you'd like my experiences as I went - but to those people on weeks 4 and 5, you'll be running for 20 minutes before you even realise what you're doing! :)

    And thanks thanks thanks! :)

I loved seeing your post on here! I completed Day 1 of Week 2 today & afterwards I was scrolling through my app at the progression & was thinking to myself I won't ever make it to that point... But seeing your post let me see there were others who started out like me...barely making it!

    WAY TO GO!

I am going to start this program so I can be ready for The Color Run 5K in Charlotte, NC at the end of October. It looks like the most fun 5K ever! It's the only thing that has ever made me want to run... that and people chasing me.

I've started C25K recently, and so far I like it a lot! After being a runner in middle school, and not so much in HS, it's nice to get back into it in college!

Congrats! Completely agree with the adaptability of the body. I literally went from sitting on the couch to graduating C25K to my first 5K this summer (planned for June). It's a great feeling of accomplishment and you should celebrate! Maybe get some new running shoes to celebrate!

That's fantastic! I completed my C25K earlier this month as well. I am NOT a runner... and not small... I did it, didn't give a crap about whether I looked pretty doing it or not, I did it without stopping!! (time: 34:16)

My only advice is stretch consitently after every run! I am having a bit of trouble with my achilles tendon now (after a 3.8 mile run last week) and now I am off running till next Friday. :-(

Stretching, I'm told, could have possibly prevented this. I will admit that I sometimes didn't stretch afterwards... and it was probably a lame attempt the times I did try to...

    Anyway, ****** yay******* awesome job!

Lol Tag - I think I may well need new shoes after my last run yesterday.....they're all squishey from the rain, lol :-D

Thanks everyone for the loves, and people new to this - do it, enjoy it and you won't look back!! :) Hell, you probably won't enjoy it at first actually, but do it and the enjoyment comes later ;)

And totally agreed Skeena! I always tag a 5 minute walk onto the front AND back of any run (due to quite a dodgy knee)! Also, if you need support on any joints, don't hesitate getting it - they might look severe, but they are complete lifesavers!

Awesome! I had been jogging for about 15 seconds at various times during my 30 minute walk fo the past 2 weeks. Last night I "officially" started C25K. I made it through 3, 60 seconds/90 seconds intervals. Then did 2, 45 seconds/2 minute cycles. I'm taking it slowly since I am still very overweight. Thank you for inspiring me to stick with it!

I just completed the C210K last week after starting and completing the C25K first. The apps were really helpful... Great work and congrats to your accomplishment!
