Completed C25K program

I'm on cloud nine! I can't believe that 8 weeks ago I struggled to run 30 seconds and today I completed the program and ran a 5k.
I can't say that it was always easy. I had to repeat some of the days but kept telling myself I would not quit.
This really is a wonderful program. If I can do this at 50+ years old, then anyone with the desire and determination can!
Thanks for letting me gloat! I just feel so damn good about myself and that's a feeling I Havnt had in a very long time!

Congrats,
I ran the same program and I struggled as well I think on week 3, but it's such a good feeling when you complete. So now your next step is to enter a 5k run.
Don't stop now you just entered the world of running and I personally love running now so keep at it.0 -
Yay you! Isn't wonderful what you can achieve when you put your heart to it??
I did the C25K program too last summer, even though I never thought once in my life that I would be a runner someday...
I completed my first 5K in October, and I have signed up for a 10K next month! (Oy!)
Have fun running this summer!0 -
Brilliant I am just about to start this0

Congrats!!! Excellent job! Keep going!!!0

Way to Go! I am currently on week 2....hoping I can make it to the end. My goal is to run a 5K in October for the breast cancer walk with my sister (who is currently on week 5).0

Congrats! I too just recently finished the C25K starting from literally not being able to run more than a minute. The great news is it seemed to be very easy to move from the 5k to the 10k which I just finished as well in a little over 3 weeks :-)
Great work!0 -
Thanks for sharing! I am on week 5 and can't believe I have made it this far already. It's a great feeling. Hope to join you with completing the program soon!!!0

Awesome!! Great job!
I'm on week 6 and struggling because I have been leaving too many days between runs due to weather and other commitments. I think it's been almost 8 weeks but I'm still on week 6. But I will get there. I have to. I'm registered for a 5k race in June.0 -
Fantastic! Congrats to you and all your hard work!!0

Thanks to all for the encouragement and thought of continuing on to a 10k.

Amazing feat of determination! I honestly hate running. Have since I was made to do it on a daily basis in the Army 20+ years ago. I have really want to do this, but just haven't. Scared of being that one who actually fails I guess.:embarassed:0

Congrats you should be really proud! :drinker: :drinker:0

I'm in the middle of week 7 and can't believe it! I started just praying I'd survive until week 3. It's a great program. Can't wait to join you as a graduate!!! Congratulations!0

You can't fail with this program. The only way you fail is by giving up on it.
Congrats, OP! You've earned your bragging rights!
I'm 41 and did C25K a little over a year ago. I then went through B210K, and my first race was the Bolder Boulder, a 10K at 6000 feet. Now I'm training for my first half marathon, and I'm behind, but I know I'm going to make it.
Welcome to the ranks, runner!0 -
Congrats, that's awesome0
-
Congratulations - I started the program last October (at 132kg) and finished it a few weeks ago. I am now training to enter a 10k race in August, and my weight is 118kg (still a way to go).
It's such a good feeling isn't it :-)0 -
congratulations...what an accomplishment.0

That's great! I'm on Week 4 and thought I was going to die when each "run" increased to 5 minutes!!! It's always been hard for me to maintain a run - jog, but I'm muddling thru. I'm 46 and have always said that I'm not a runner, but once I saw this program, I really wanted to give it a try....I hope I can make it all the way through, like you. You ROCK! :drinker:0
