    Why don't you just use a measuring cup and pour water out of it to measure?

    Wouldn't it be easier to just get a measuring cup and find out?

    Pour water into a measuring cup (liquid measuring cup) and add it into the bottle. Repeat until full. Tally up the ounces pour in. PRESTO!

    Fill the bottle, then pour it into a measuring cup or bowl.

    Why not just measure water into it?

    You must have a cup measure at home, right?

    Uh, why don't you get a liquid measuring cup (8 ounces = 1 cup of water) and fill it with 8 oz of water, dump it into your water bottle, and keep doing this until the bottle is full. Keep track of how many times you did this, and you should have a good idea of how many cups it holds. Or conversely, fill up your water bottle, then pour out the water into a measuring cup.

    Does it matter? Just fill it up, drink it, then refill it when it's empty. Pee when you get too full, then repeat.

    by the sounds of it..it is probably either 500ml or 750ml... you would need to drink 2 and a half (and a little bit more) of the 750ml and 4 of the 500ml one...

    Just meaure out 500ml and pour it into the bottle... if it overflows, you know it's less than 500ml... if it only fills 1/2 or 3/4 you know its about a litre (1000ml)

    Does the bottle list the number of oz it holds?

    well, since the obvious answer has been posted...you could also try measuring you urinary output to calculate the intake of fluid from the bottle...

    No it does not list how much it holds, I have searched it online and it does not specify and I am at work and not measuring cup around.

    Why not just drink out of it and use a measuring cup when you're near one then? Trying really hard not to add Doh! to the end of that sentence :flowerforyou:

    6.5 cups.

    Hmm, I think you're right. I was going to say 7 cups, but after recalculating, 6.5 is correct.

    My best estimate would be
    3 1/2x 91/2 =33.25 Cubic Inches = 18.42 Fluid Ounces

    but if it is not square then it is prob more like 7 ounces

    If you're at work where you have no access to anything with a known volume... maybe just wait until you get home?

    I don't think it's square.

    d = 3.5 in
    r = 1.75 in
    h = 9.5 in
    A = pi*r^2 = 9.62in^2
    V = A*h = 91.39in^3

    91.39 cubic inches is equal to 50.64 US fl oz
    That equals 6 1/3 cups.

    But really, just take a measuring cup and fill it.

    step on the scale.
    Drink the full bottle of water
    step back on the scale.
    Take the weight difference.

    then using your current altitude, the outside air pressure, and the density of the last crap that you took you can calculate the exact volume of water that you consumed.

    If you haven't been tracking your crap density then I just can't help you if you won't help yourself.

    The area that holds water on my 950ml bottle is 3"x8".

    It's possible. But one generally thinks of bottles as round, so surely she would have specified.
