What makes you feel special/appreciated?

I basically love everything mentioned so far (so sweet!!) Except for most of the things that odusgolp said, lol. I would rather be treated as a badass who can handle herself.

My favorites are the little gestures like when he makes me chamomile tea before bed. Or gets the living room ready for me to do p90x. Or cleans up around the apartment, or makes me some stuff to bring to work for my lunches. Nomnomnom ^_^

Although I wouldn't mind if he got some tips from the other posters here, haha! :P

But honestly, I don't get a lot of praise except from strangers. most of the time I don't feel special, I feel like more of a burden. I guess being told how worthless I am growing up has taken it's toll.

good genuine compliment goes a long way though.

aside from home I get my fair share of compliments.

I'm a huge sucker for the little things. Getting to his house and finding two boxes of my favorite tea on the kitchen table because he finally found them at Trader Joe's. Finding out that he drove to three different Sephora's to find the exact Stella McCartney gift set that he wanted to give me. When I told him that I never saw "Full Metal Jacket" (which he has on VHS), but that I really wanted to, he went out and bought it on DVD because in his words, "you deserve to really watch it in style". When I found out that my beloved kitty had a tumor on his liver (benign, thank god!), he showed up the next day with a new jingly mouse toy for the patient.

Flowers and such are wonderful, and I do appreciate them. But it's stuff like that that completely melts me!

When my dad calls me 'Principessa' ('Princess' in Italian). Reminds me of when he would call me that as a little kid. And being one of 4 girls, it's a good feeling.

My husband and I read this book called The Five Love Languages. My two languages were Quality Time (either a date with my husband or he could take the kids out of the house for a bit so I can have time to myself) and Acts of Service (like when he unloads the dishwasher and helps with household chores). His two languages were Physical Love (ha!) and Words of Praise. It was a helpful read. If one of your partner's languages isn't Acts of Service, you may be doing things that don't speak to them or that they don't recognize as an act of love, for example.

What makes me feel special? Supporting me in all that I do.

When my babe tells me she can't picture her life without me. It brings me an unexplainable amount of joy! Its the greatest compliment in the world to hear those words from someone of her caliber!

It doesn't take my to please me. Just put a little effort into something you know I like. A text to say he's thinking of me. Pick up my favorite treat... My hubs is good at going out of his way for me.

When The_Saint starts rubbing my sore muscles/feet. He always finds my sweet spots in my shoulders and helps loosen them up without me ever having to ask.

Also, when he cooks for me. One, he usually is shirtless so it's a great view, but he is a phenominal cook so it's good all the way around!

When he kisses my back/shoulders in the morning and tells me "Good morning, beautiful", when I'm neither beautiful or pleasant in the morning.

Oh shucks.... everything he does makes me feel special and appreciated.

The phone call at lunch yesterday to tell me he was thinking of me and loves me very much. Knowing that I'm on his mind and in his heart means the world to me!
