Not sure if this was mentioned since I don't feel like reading everything...lol

    Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

5 lb pork shoulder or butt in crock pot, add 2 liter of root beer (or enough to cover pork). Let cook on low for 6-7 hours. Pull out of slow cooker, dump the root beer, shred the pork. Mix with your favorite bbq sauce....(Sweet Baby Ray's....mmmm). I've made this many many times and it always comes out amazing.

This is exactly how we make our pulled pork lol, down to the sweet baby rays and everything! mmm we love it!

Chicken tacos- 2 cups chicken broth, 1 pound chicken breast and 1 package taco seasoning. Mix seasoning and broth in the crockpot and add chicken. I cook it on low while I'm at work (8-9 hours) and then I shred the chicken.

Then, of course add to tacos with all the fixins. :-) Also great for taco salads.

That sounds delicious!! Thanks for sharing! :)

soak some lentils or pulses & add them for a cheap high protein thickener. They fill you up too so no need for potatoes!

    Couple of my favorites:

    Post Roast
one roast - your choice (I like very well marbelized chuck roasts)
chop up root veggies such as potatoes, turnips, carrots, and parsnips - big chunks are good here.
add one packet of dried onion soup mix
cover with water (just to the top of the meat)
    cook on low all day.

    Stew
See above, switch roast with stew meat, add more water.. delish on a cold day

    Hawiian Chicken
Chicken breasts - enough for your family
One jar of sweet & sour marinade
One can of pineapple with juice
    cook on low all day
    I serve it over rice.
(you can change this particular recipe up by changing the meat/marinade)

    Chicken Noodle Soup
    Cubed chicken
as much garlic as you like
chopped onion, potatoes, turnips, parsnips, carrots - whatever else you like
    frozen peas
    cover with water
season to taste - I like italian seasonings, cracked pepper and sea salt
When you get home, add a bag of frozen egg noodles. By the time you're settled down and ready to eat, the noodles will be ready... mmm....

Just experiment and have fun. Crockpot cooking is super easy, just make sure to cook it on LOW and make sure that there is enough fluid to keep it from drying out/burning.
