apparently this book is the new thing that everyone has to read...but from the description it doesn't sound like anything special. It's an Erotic series, yes? I used to read erotic fiction as a teenager (it was much quieter and easier to hide than pornography) for free. I don't think I'd ever be interested in paying for it though.0

yes she has already signed a movie deal, follow her book on facebook they give it updates, she wrote the books after bella and edward from twilight in mind, and both characters are thinking about doing the movie, I read all three and loved them.0

I read all 3. I like it, but I love trashy books like that. I've heard buzz about the movie and wondered who they'd pick for Christian and Ana. I wouldn't sign the contract either, but the whole lifestyle around doms/submissions is intriguing.
If you like these kinds of books, The Black Dagger Brotherhood series (I think there are soon to be 11) are really quite good. It's around Vampires tho so if paranormal isn't your thing, these might not interest you.
Maya Banks has a couple of erotica series that are good and quite a bit 'steamier' than Shades of Grey.0 -

i read the book. the writing was PISS POOR. so many errors. lady, GET AN EDITOR!!! no one talks like this: "i shall meet you promptly at 2pm in the foyer." or whatever. i just didn't feel like i was in the story. you know how you can read a book and get so engulfed you forget you're reading? i never forgot i was reading.

I'm close to being done with the first book and to be completely honest I am not impressed. I highly doubt I will be reading the other two.
I keep reading hoping for the hot sex scenes that hyped this book up but so far I haven't come across it. Ana is annoying and I want to punch Christian in the head for being so accommodating and making all these concessions for Ana that are just ridiculous.
And now that I see the book is pretty much a "fan fic" book of Twilight I totally understand why I don't like it. I read the first Twilight book thought it was ridiculous and never read the rest of the series.0 -

Josh from All My Children? He's not that great of an actor, I assure you. Josh was an okay character at first, but Colin doesn't really have enough depth. He was mostly around for eye candy. Then again this is porn, right? So would it be on the spice channel....or go straight to video and end up on (the website known as) "uporn"?0 -

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ~ i'm a grad student and haven't been able to squeeze in any "pleasure reading" in the past month!! haha. several of my friends have read and/or are reading these books - and they are on my summer MUST READ list!! can't wait!!0
