It's a horribly written book. But yes, I'm guilty of reading them. I'm starting book 3. Still think the writing is such *kitten* I have a hard time getting through some parts. But it'll make for a fun book club meeting.

Sorry, I quoted it wrong...

The perfect Anastasia!0 -
i read it when it was free. the writing is horrible and i just couldn't get passed it.
i must admit that it bothers me that it is getting so much publicity, even a movie deal, when really GOOD erotica authors have been around for ages. good writing, good sex scenes, good characters, did i mention good writing? cheyenne mccray, kate douglas, sylvia day, paige tyler, maya banks, etc.
for those that like it, please buy some books by the above authors to compare!0 -

I posted above, this type of book isn't my normal read, but since I'm ejoying this one...wow....what will a really well-written book do to me?!?!

Thanks for the suggestions of authors who can write.
My inner goddess is a nasty, naughty, insatiable sex hound....is there another kind?
Pom-poms? cartwheels?0 -
I love the way the contract is seen as a weird thing. I've signed similar with past lovers. I've had dates where before sex we filled in check boxes of hard and soft limits etc. It is hardly shocking to anyone with experience in that world I guess. As far as badly written smut goes, it was OK. Like Mills and Boon with a spreader bar.0

On Chapter 20. Am writing a novel and had a few romance elements, so picked this up as my first romance novel. OMG, not what I thought it would be. Have to admit, it has and will change my writing forever more.0

this is what I envisioned when trying to conjur up a picture of Christian Grey in my mind...

I'm glad to see that others think its written kinda weird. I do like it but sometimes I have to re-read, not quite understanding her lingo. It can be a bit confusing. I'm into book 2 now.0

They really are horribly written books, but so addicting. I just started the 3rd book, can't put it down! It's like a guilty pleasure. I love reading them even though they are kind of weird. Some stuff annoys me, but I still enjoy them.0

Yes I am almost done with book 1. That book is like a drug I can't put it down. And I so would sign that contract!
I left the book home so I wouldn't be distracted at work and I keep googling Christain Grey and I found my Christian
Colin Egglesfield0 -
Totally trashy smut. Poorly written and unbelieveable. TOTALLY ADDICTED and loving every minute!! . Thanks to the Poster who suggested other Authors that can actually write. I'll be looking into them (and my husband will be thrilled - He may like the books better than I do and he hasn't even read them
and Hell Yeah I would sign the contract...0 -
Bought it but have not started it yet. We shall see...0

I read all 3 in 4 days (yes, I work a regular 40 hour/week job) and I loved it!
I was so sad to see it end. Book 2 was definitely my favorite of all 3.
I was in fear of doing permanent, irreparable damage to my eyes if I rolled them one more time after reading "my inner goddess".
We got it, your inner goddess loves it all. Please shut that b*tch up already!! :laugh:0 -

The only author I've read in your suggested list was Maya Banks. I LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOOOVE her KGI series!!! I can't wait until the next one, Echoes at Dawn, comes out!!!
I won "Sweet Addiction" by her in a Twitter contest and I wasn't impressed with it. Probably just because I don't really "get" that kind of lifestyle, but whatever.0 -
I've read all three books and I liked them. I think I'd have to sign the contract! lol0

I've done more than this without signing a contract.
The first book was soooo bad I couldn't finish it. Most of what I disliked about it could have been fixed by a better editor.0 -
I'm at the point where I fully believe she just has multi-personalities, because the Inner Goddess is just too much. It's beyond conflicting emotions.
So, so poorly written. I wouldn't even finish if I could just watch porn at work without risking my job - my bosses are guys and have no idea what it is.0 -

WORD!!!!!!!!!!! haha. my reasons exactly.0 -
Sweet baby jaysus. I love me some Ian Somerholder. He'd be WAY perfect. And quite frankly, the chick who plays Alayna on Vampire Diaries may rock Ana.0
