Hey everyone....
I've just clocked 110 days using MFP so thought I'd take some photo's and do a compare!! You see yourself everyday right, so don't notice the changes, even though everyone else does!! I was well sceptical myself until I compared a few photo's!!
I've been losing weight since last summer after a pretty traumatic time in my life, not going into details as they are sooo very boring, but was really messed up. I started losing weight without thinking about it as I just stopped eating, on the odd occasion when I did it was usually the rubbish stuff. I don't have a sweet tooth at all, but am a total sucker for anything wrapped in pastry or deep fried :frown: I've always been big and was defo 'the' fat kid at school.
Anyhoo....after Christmas things came to a head and well, certain parts of my life took a turn for the better I'm glad to say. I made the concious decision to put my life straight and stop p*ssing about, making excuses and take charge of my life. I found MFP and have never looked back.
I love MFP and all my friends on here who have been so supportive and encouraging...I know that without them I would have found an excuse to give up a long time ago!! It's sad but true
So in all, I think I have lost about 85lbs from my max weight, although I really never weighed myself before apart from the Wii fit as I was in total denial about my weight! Since joining MFP in the middle of Feb I have lost 39lbs.
I have totally changed my eating habits, I eat much healthier than before, I haven't had a pie or sausage roll since the new year!!! I will 'graduate' from C25K tomorrow which I am very excited about...I have NEVER run for more than about a minute before, but now I can do 30 mins comfortably, although as I'm still quiet slow, I haven't managed the 5K in the 30 mins yet...doing a full 5K is the next goal after graduation!! I never thought any of this was possible at all...ever...I have even quit smoking and am now 6 days clean
So again, thank you MFP, a special thank you goes to my MFP friends and to the wider MFP community for sharing all your hints, tips, advice and success stories that have and will keep me motivated until I reach my goal. You are all so amazing

And this is me as of this morning I'm wearing a shirt that I bought a couple of years ago which didn't even meet in the middle, let alone button up!!

So that's it for now...signing up to do my first 5K parkrun (check out the website UK peeps: http://www.parkrun.org.uk/) in a couple of weeks. After that, will defo keep going with the running as I'm totally hooked on it, but will also start hitting the weights in the gym, which to be honest, I've shied away from to date.
Good luck with your own success and please post it here, you cannot believe how motivational it can be for everyone else.

Oh yeah, just as an afterthought, can you get MFP merchandise? I would love a MFP running T to advertise the site/app as I'm doing the park runs after all it's helped me acheive

I think it was Kate Moss who said "nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels" lol.... she was TOO skinny, but I do remind myself of that quote when I want to emotionally eat.0 -

I couldn't agree more. I am excited for the day to be able to do this as well. Remember to put your faith first...and yourself second. If you take care of yourself over others then you will have enough to give to them if/ when they need it. Sounds like you are doing amazing and you look so healthy and wonderful! GREAT JOB!0 -
Congrats on the big changes! But you need to smile more and look happy about it in your new pics!0

Hahaha...I'll try that!! I never take great photo's that's why I do not have too many to choose from!! I always think my smiles look so false, guess I was just born with a grumpy face!!
Thanks for all the wonderful comments folks. It's very much appreciated as it's always a little scary putting pics up of yourself :S
