If you're having problems drinking water, try adding a flavor packet. That helps me lots!0 -

I'm new to the boards but spotted this thread and HAD to join in. I'm utterly useless at drinking water. I can go several days before I realise I've had none and only then because I'm starting to feel unwell. I've managed to get up to around 2 glasses a day since I started MFP so I'm challenging myself to get up to 4 this month. Thanks for spurring me on, even though you didn't know you were!

Finally - someone else who forgets that water exists! I seriously have lived on skim milk and diet coke for years....so I'm really trying to drink more water. Some days I might get 8 in, other days -none...:embarassed: so I guess Im in!0 -
No coffee and tea do not count for your water intake unless they are decaffienated. Caffeine is a diuretic that removes water from your body, hence the feeling it goes right through you. For every 8 ounce cup of coffee, tea or soda you have, you should drink 16 ounces of water in addition to the water you should already be drinking.0

I'm in! I have been drinking 8-10 glasses a day for almost two weeks now. I bought a 20 oz refillable clear plastic container to help me keep track and so far it's helped me. I always start my morning out with drinking a 20oz glass and with each meal I make sure I drink 20oz at least and that pretty much gives me my 8 glasses that are recommended a day. I always am drinking so I tend to sneak in an extra bottle throughout the day. I pee like a racehorse but I'm sure that over time my bladder will be able to handle it.
So far today I have drunk 8 glasses but I still have to go to the gym so that will probably make me drink another few glasses!0 -

I'm like you with some days lots of water and others not. Welcome! I think you will find this challenge encouraging. It's definitely been helping me to be more aware of my water intake.0 -

Had water while watching TV rather than a glass of wine. That helped me reach my water goal and keep my calories down.
