I'm also on 1200 a day. Some days it's easy and some days it's hard. But for me keeping track is the only thing that has helped me to loose weight.0

I manage to hit 1200 the majority of the time so feel free to add. It would be nice to have more friends who are in the same calorie limit as me.0

I am not officially on the 1200 cals a day thing, but I'm thinking of moving to that stage pretty soon. As I'm fairly new to this I'm doing 1500 or something so I don't beat myself up and give up if I don't manage 1200!
Feel free to add me, I'm in the UK too. (though my diary in the past week has been awful for sugar!)0 -
I am thinking about going to 1200 calories a day, I am on 1360 at the moment! I am from the UK too, feel free to add me x0

Why 1200 ?
Can we be friends even if I can't sustain it and eat around 4000 calories three times per week ?0 -
I wouldn't mind some friends who eat around 1200 cals as well. Not that friends who eat more aren't welcome, it would just be nice to not have people badger me with the "starvation" myth about 1200 calories.0

Me too! I'll send you a request!0

All friends welcome :-)0

That's the most I can eat..
I am slowly building up to this.0 -
Is it possible to be on 1200 cal and not be losing???? Should I start out higher and then go down to 1200? I am feeling frustrated ...i thought the weight would drop off. Only thing different this week was playing cards and drinking wine with dinner..ok so it was almost a bottle...but I went right back to 1200 and nothing forthe week...HELP0

That's what I'm on too and the weight is defninitely NOT dropping off. If you don't have much to lose I think it goes much slower. I'll take 1/2 pound a week though - it's better than gaining :-)0 -

It all depends on what you are eating rather than the calorie amount. Any chance you could open up your food diary?0 -
Trying for 1200 a day here too, from SE UK. Would be great to have some friends on here for encouragement!0

Ok.... please don't get too angry with me for saying this... but I just HAVE TO mention that 1200 calories is not a suitable amount for everyone - just because some people can survive on that, doesn't mean that everyone can. Anyone reading this thread and thinking that 1200 is some magic weight loss number - just remember that everyone is different and some people just seem to need more calories to be happy and healthy. The reason I say this is because I used to suffer from anorexia and believe it or not I reached a dangerously low weight while still eating around 1200 calories every day. I am tall with a fast metabolism and that simply was not enough food for me. I'm not saying that no-one should do this, ever - but if you are tall/young/active, just be careful0

I actually didn't pick the 1200 number, this site recommended it to me, so I was just going with that. I can't say I'm ALWAYS sticking to it (damn you wine!) but my weight loss has been very sensible, even a little slow... I'm averaging about 1/2 lb a week now.0

I'm in the 1200 Club too! Some days it's really easy, others are just plain difficult. :[ would be nice to see diaries!0
