  • I was really bad last night. We ordered pizza from my favorite place and I completely went overboard. It just tasted so dang awesome. Anyways, I ended up going over my calories for the day by 450 and was just waaaay too full to even move, let alone exercise. Needless to say, I feel like crap today. My body is hating me right now.

I did well. Ate past 8 p.m., but nothing more once I finished dinner. I didn't do too well on my calories, though. :ohwell:

I feel ya sister! I went crazy lastnight, pasta and icecream! Why O why do I have no self control:sad: . I need a shock collar or something  Welp I told my BF to have the Apt junk food free by the time I get home! We have to go healthy shopping tonight!
  • Well I'm back on track. I don't know what it is about pizza that is just so irresistible. We are going on our big grocery trip today and I have created a fantastic shopping list to keep us in line at the store

Stephanie, keep trying. After all, the ice cream won't melt over night  . And it's tastier before noon  .

Veronica, keep it up :flowerforyou: . Lemme know what you bought which is tasty and healthy all the same - I need ideas (and will try not to read your post on empty stomach  ).

I did incredible yesterday - one of those days when nothing went into my mouth after 6p.m. I'm not sure if I went over calories, cos I did not log the dinner, but it wasn't hard last night (was busy in the evening and then went for a long walk). It did pay off: I got rid of some water weight which had made me nuts in the morning when I got on the scale.

It's so much easier for me to say "nothing" than to allow myself a little snack. An apple makes me want a slice of bread with something, which then makes me want something more and so on.

So let's stay strong and keep trying, everytime we fail. Good luck, pals  :flowerforyou: :glasses:

Late night snacking is the whole reason i can not lose weight! I eat perfect during normal hours but once its dark outside, and I am all alone..

My goal is, the minute dinner is over, thats it, no more food for the night. Dinner is always at the same time every night for me too 7pm.

Eating at night can seriously sabotage your weight loss. It was how i gained weight in the first place and why i couldnt lose it. So from now on i pray i never eat at night again, and if i am starving so that i dont feel deprived i might have a small piece of fruit. OR drinking hot tea really fills me up so thats a good one too.

Thanks so much for your support! I'm glad you've been doing well too. It always feels so rewarding to have one of those successful days huh. Keep it up! Shopping went very well. We bought tons of fresh fruit/veggies, some very lean ground beef, chicken, whole wheat pasta, low fat cottage cheese & string cheese. I've been on a bit of a fiber kick lately, so I also got some Fiber One Cereal, yogurt and chewy bars (for snack time). I bought a few Lean Cuisines (even though a have a lot of sodium) because my fiance is going to be working out of town all week and it's just easier. I'm also going to try taking Omega 3 Fish Oil (they are really smelly, so I hope I can even get them down!). I didn't really get much in the snack dept. so I should be able to stay on track. Keep on keepin' on:wink:

    Stephanie:
Don't worry about the slip ups (everyone has them). Just worry about the here and now. Keep trying...you can do it!

Well well... I went to a street fest yesterday, but they were packing when we got there. :ohwell: So though I had saved some calories for it, all I had was a scoop of ice cream and a fruit tea. So I came home hungry. :ohwell: (I blame the tea for it) and I just had to eat something - but I still think I was good, since I did stop while still feeling a bit hungry (what made me feel finally full was the glass of water  ).

Keep on trying, ladies, you are doing great! :flowerforyou: I'll try harder myself  .

If it weren't for the challenge, I would have munched all night. But because of it, I only had a tomato juice after coming back from the gym and a hot tea. And that was it! :drinker:
  • I totally agree. This challenge is awesome because if I slip up I have to "confess". It's a great way to stay motivated! I'm happy to report that I stuck to my commitment last night.
  • I've been doing well lately. I started logging all my food for the day first thing in the morning and that has helped tremendously. Today I left myself enough calories to have a Skinny Cow Mint Ice Cream Sandwich after dinner
  • Wow.....no one has checked in lately. I hope everyone is doing okay and keeping up with their goals. Have a great weekend guys!

Hey, there. I've been pretty good. I did not literally stick to my cut off, on days I exercised and I had calories left. However, I've pretty much kept eating under control at night. Well, on the exeption of last night, but I'm OK with it, since I have a good excuse  . I'll keep working at it and I'm happy to read that you're doing well, Veronica. Stay strong! (specially over the WE  )

    Hi dewdrop!:flowerforyou:
    Remember me?:embarassed:
Somehow, I find the hectic summer months difficult as far as eating healthy and exercising so mfp went by the wayside big time. :grumble: But, last night, I put my youngest on a plane for a semester abroad so my husband and I are back to being empty nesters and I'm trying to get back on board w/mfp. I know it works if I just keep up w/it.
Anyway, I am very happy to see that you have stuck w.this challenge. I am ready to start over so count me in as of tonight! This will be my warm-up for October. Watch out! If I put my mind to it, I can be real competition.

    Thank you dewdrop!! :flowerforyou:
Unfortunately, I blew it last night.:grumble: I need some practice at this. Hard to shed the bad habits.

So, tonight I need to remember that my cut-off is 9:30 p.m. Nothing with calories after 9:30 unless it is a special occcasion or out for the evening. Then my cut-off will be 11:30 p.m.

Hope everyone is doing well with this.

  • Hey everyone! I've been doing pretty well lately. I went to a party over the weekend (and of course the only kinds of food there were greasy sloppy joes, chips/dip, cupcakes, etc). But I managed to stay in control, limit my portions and avoid that late night after-party snacking on junk.

I really need to do this. After 8 pm is my problem time. Usually too much wine - I know that is the worst. No wonder I keep losing the same 10lbs over and over again - sabatogue myself.

Blew it last night with 3 glasses of red wine. At least I won't feel like doing it tonight.

I did exactly the same thing. Now I am beating myself up and thinking about skipping breakfast.

Veronica, keep up the good work .:flowerforyou: Likewise, those of you that are sticking with it, but too busy or shy to tell us your numbers.

Zaza, we both know you can do it! :flowerforyou:

I guess we also both know that I can do it. But am I doing it? Not really, not the past few days :grumble: . Still, the challenge is up!

So I haven't been on here in a min cause I was out of town... But I haven't late night snacked in 1 week! I can not believe it! I feel great!
  • I want to join this FOR SURE!!!! This has been an issue for me since I was a child, and sometimes I get up in the middle of the night and eat. My cut-off time will be 8:00 p.m. Thanks for posting this!! I think it will/ really help knowing others are doing the same.

So they did lock you up    . On a more serious note: AWESOME! See, you can do it! I knew you could  . Keep doing it to keep feeling this great :flowerforyou: .

allsnchase25, welcome and good luck :flowerforyou:
  • Well it's been over a week now without any slip-ups. The challenge now is not to sabotage myself.....or let anyone else for that matter. People are always bringing donuts, cookies, pizza, etc. into work. When I get out my fruit/veggies and munch on those, there's always some comment like, "Still eating that rabbit food huh:devil: ". Whatever. I'm not going to let them get to me.

    Veronica and Dewdrop!

Thank you for your support! I can not believe I am doing so well with not eating at night. I try to keep myself busy and I also do not want to have to report me behaving badly at night. LOL :blushing:

    Doing great ladies!
  • Stephanie:

That's the exact same thing I do. I figure, as long as I'm doing something (cleaning, exercising, laundry, etc.) I won't be sitting around snacking just because I'm bored or something. Keep it up:flowerforyou:

Thanks girl! Another night down! I think this is becoming a great change and I love being able to post about it! How did you do Veronica?
  • Well, it's the weekend and, suprisingly enough, I'm resisting the urge to binge! Our regular grocery shopping trip is tomorrow and I'm trying to incorporate different things into my diet so that I don't get bored of eating all the same old stuff.
  • Hope everyone had success over the weekend:smile: I broke the cardinal rule and went grocery shopping while hungry and spent entirely waaay too much money:devil: . But on the plus side of that.....none of it was junk food. I decided to try out some protein shakes. I've never really been much of a shake person, so I hope I like them.

Side note: I hope we're going to keep this up next month. This challenge has really made a big difference to me as I hope it has for all of you:flowerforyou:

Hey everybody! I haven't been late night snacking and oddly enough I have started taking protien shakes in the morning. They have been good! Quick and easy and I am satisfied till lunch! We should def keep this up, maybe more of us should try having a protien shake for breakfast or right after we workout.
