Ok, maybe this is the OCD side of me, by I'm astonished that nobody seems to have mentioned...what about the inevitable splash back mess from milk first?! Why oh why would anybody do this?! It's asking for trouble!
Milk first is wrong on so many levels!! I'm getting a twitch just thinking about it!0 -
What kind of deviant would pour the milk first?
Cereal first is normal. It's the right way. It's the only way.
Haha, this made me spit out my water. .
Now wait.
Srsly though...I'm way more concerned about the PB & J situation.
PB on each slice of bread and then jelly on top, PB on one slice of bread and jelly on the other, PB first, jelly second, jelly first, PB second?!?!
I must know, people!
One slice of bread, add peanut butter, add jelly (though I prefer jam) and then another slice of bread.0 -
Cereal first. Duh?0

That's how I do it, too!
I like homemade pomegranate jelly. YUM.0 -
Cereal in bowl, then milk on top. But if you're going back for seconds, odds are you have leftover milk... then it would be cereal on top.
Thanks but I haven't had a bowl of cereal in milk in probably 7 months or longer.0 -
cereal first, lol.0

Also, apart from people who weigh / measure food such as on here, how would you know how much milk to use? I would just always put the cereal I wanted in, and then pour the milk until it looked just right. I could imagine if it was the other way round, I'd put way too much milk in!
This!! Your cereal:milk ratio would be off.
I can't get over that there are people who do this backward!0 -
Cereal, then chopped banana on top then milk om nom
amen, what i did this morning
my homemade cereal of natural bran, wholegrain puffed rice and wheat flakes!
2 cups of that with 2 tablespoons sultanas, 1 chopped banana and 1.5 cups of milk. mmm0 -
First cereal, then banana, then milk. Always in that order.0
-
ummm... cereal first always!! That is how you know how much milk to put in0

Cereal first, anything else is against God and the natural workings of the universe.

My wife and I agree - cereal first.
However, we have a 21 year debate going about the sugar....
For the (very) few cereals that I like a wee bit of sugar on it, do you do:
cereal, milk and then sugar
or
cereal, sugar and then milk?
I am a cereal, sugar and then milk, because I like the sugar to mix into the cereal. My wife insists it tastes better if sugar is last.
It's a wonder we are still together.0 -
People are so ignorant. It's one layer of cereal, then milk, then the next layer of cereal, then more milk, and so on. How else would you get your cereal properly saturated?0

Yes, but we pour our milk from a BAG.0 -

Cereal and milk is GROSS!! WRONG!!! Why would I want to eat yucky mushy food? If I want milk, I will drink milk (oh yeah, I don't like milk).. if I want cereal, I eat it.
Yes, I am aware everyone thinks dry cereal is gross... but you're just all clearly wrong! LOL0 -
I used to do it milk first. Pouring the milk over makes cereal lose its crunch quicker. Now, since I have to weigh, it's easier to do it cereal first.0

cereal in bowl...milk in glass. For some reason, I do not like milk on my cereal...I eat mine like a toddler...pick and dunk0

If I put any sugar/sweetener/etc on top of my cereal, it goes between cereal and milk. That said, even if I did put it on last, I still mix it all up, so the taste would be no different.0 -
what kind of freak pours the milk first!?0

Cereal first. Otherwise, how do you know if you get the right amount of milk?0

Cereal then fruit and / or sugar then milk. Eat cereal before it gets soggy, drink leftover milk directly from the bowl. refill & repeat.0 -

Cereal first!
On the other topic: bread slice #1 spread with AB on the left side of the cutting board, bread slice #2 spread with strawberry jam on the right side of the cutting board, fold the 2 slices on each other like closing a book! Enjoy!!!0
