Nice post... just ignore about the fat burning supplement thing unless you are morbidly obese.

use a fat burning supplement... why?
To burn fat, I suspect. It seems rather self-explanatory.

I was under the impression those things were pretty bogus. Is there evidence to suggest they are effective? And worth the amount of money?

My best advice for losing body fat is intermittent fasting.

This reminds me of http://m.jezebel.com/5901446/the-worlds-first-100-foolproof-guide-to-losing-weight-and-keeping-it-off except this article is actually supposed to be serious...

    Thank you for this link...hilarious!

According to this article, since I'm 70lbs over weight I should be exercising moderately because my body can't handle it... But I'm really quite fit, I do 3-5 Zumba classes a week (where I keep up with everyone else) as well as going to the gym before/after to do extra cardio and weights.

I'm not sure if I like such a generic approach :-/

^ Agreed, and I think there's more junk than correct info overall.

Thanks. I'll have to read this later. I like that the author acknowledges high up that what you do in part depends on your goals and your current weight status.

Wow. According to his classifications, I'm somewhere between "Smooth" and "Moderately Overweight." Maybe if it were age-adjusted I'd do better.

Thanks for the information and the link will make my adjustments and see what happens. First thing is to adjust my cardio (elliptical) and see if that makes a difference by next week.

The info you posted in this article is kind of out of date. A lot of good points but a lot of things that are now considered not to have a dramatic impact on reducing body fat.

I've also herd carbs before 6 and not after. It has something to do with carbs being stored as fat if not burned off I think, but you can disregard that if you are active after 6 like that's when you workout or something, most peoples metabolism slows down at night to get ready for bed I've been told, so carbs late+not being active=fat gain (not weight gain, but fat gain...it is still possible to lose weight and increase your bf%) these are things my trainer, who is a nutritionist as well told me.
