Gummy Multi, Fish Oil, CLA
Re CLA: I do actually notice my stomach becoming less pronounced and I've always had a pouch, even when I was a size 2 before having my daughter. I'm not even at that weight yet but to me (and my husband) it is noticeably smaller. I do ZERO stomach/core specific exercise.0 -
Cod Liver Oil
MultiVitamin
Korean Ginseng
Green Tea Extract0 -
I take a food rich multi-vitamin (capsule, hard pills don't really absorb well) 3 times a day (breakfast/lunch/dinner), a fish oil 3 times a day, and I drink an Emergen-C every day. I can definitely notice when I'm slacking on my vitamins, especially the fish oil, because it really helps with my tendonitis issues.
I got told a kinda gross story by my nutritionist about those Centrum 1-a-days...they are a hard pill, and the glues and bonding agents used to hold the pill together aren't really things your body knows how to digest. So anyway, she was volunteering for some outdoor event where they used port-a-potties. When she had to go in and clean them, she would see almost whole vitamins in the toilet. Turns out that by the time they pass through your digestive system, your body hasn't been able to break them down enough to absorb the nutrients. So, you poop most of the vitamin out. Sorry for the gross story, but it's good to know! Taking liquid vitamins or a capsule made of natural ingredients is a much better way to actually absorb the vitamins you're taking
I heard that same story. I tried taking one a day for women, and got so sick to my stomach every time. Had to run to the bathroom ready to puke countless times. I told that to my program director and she has the same problem with them. She said she takes the vitacraves gummy vitamins and hasn't had any problems with them. I agree, I have been taking them for a week now and have had no issues with them.
I also take Evening primrose oil when I remember it. No problems with that either. the nurse at my doctor's office said she had problems with it and had to stop taking it.0 -
L-Carnitine, Flaxseed Oil, Biotin0
-
Calcium/magnesium/zinc tablet, glucosamine,b12,chromium picolinate and ginkgo biloba. I notice nothing other than I'm hopefully protecting my fragile joints with the glucosamine. The MCZ was on the advice of my dr.
Does anyone take st. John's wort?0 -
Multi-vitamin
CoQ10 - I have high blood pressure. This should help and it keeps me awake.
Calcium + D3 (latest blood work showed defficiency in Vit D)
Fish Oil (latest blood work showed difficiency in good cholesterol)
Flinstones vitamins - because my daughter hates them and I don't want them to go to waste.
I stopped taking:
Creatine: it seemed to mess with my blood sugar. I don't know why. I hate the grittiness.
Protein: I prefer to get it from food but I will have a shake if I can't fit in a meal or I'm low.
Green Tea Extract - I do take this to stay awake sometimes but I cut back because of blood pressure issues.0 -
Fish oil, Prenatal, biotin, bcaa & glutamine, whey, calcium, and creatine.0
-
Just started taking multiminerals as I noticed how low I was on potassium and calcium. Not sure if it's worthwhile though.... Never even considered whether I need things like Chronium and Manganese before!0
-
Chewable calcium+Vit D (how can I put this...the hard pills, er, didn't touch the sides). And I recently dound an ancient jumbo-economy-size bottle of cod liver oil capsules, and some random multivitamins, so I'm having those til they're gone. I'll probably only carry on with the calcium though, as my nails were splitting and my mum and gran both had hip replacements and arthritis in their hips, and I don't want that to happen to me. I know, it's boat varnish, I'm being sold to THIS ONCE, that's all, I promise.0

Fish oil, Prenatal, biotin, bcaa & glutamine, whey, calcium, and creatine.
My cousin is 3 or 4 months pregnant, and her 10 year old daughter saw her prenatal vitamins and wanted to take one, but then said "Oh wait, I don't want to end up like you!" thinking the vitamins are what made her pregnant! it was so funny!0 -
I take:
Mulitvitamin
Glucosamine
Calcium
And I also do protein powder (mixed in foods), flaxseed mixed in oatmeal, coconut oil mixed in oatmeal (but not daily), and drink ACV daily.0 -

Against was everyone has said, I have had tremendous results with CLA. When (6mg) combined with a metabolism booster (thermabol) and protein shakes (breakfast and post-workout), I'd say I average about a 2-3lb loss per week.1

Vitamin D (liquid) / Fish Oil / B-12 / Green tea extract x2 / Women's One a Day w Skin Essentials / Vitamin C / Chromium0

Don't suggest taking ancient any supplement. If the oil is old it is bad and it will do the exact opposite of the result you are expecting.0 -
I'm taking Melaleuca's women's vitamins- I'm noticing a big difference from taking One A Day women's and an extra vitamin D capsule a day.
I am still going to throw int eh Vitamin D- because I have a deficiency, and I am going to be taking folic acid on the side in prep for another baby- but I haven't taking anything as good as these Melaleuca dailies in my life. Not even when i was taking Usana, which is supposed to be the best thing out there.
I'm going to pick up an Omega 3 supplement as well.0 -
I Pills:
Nature's Way Alive Multi (iron free)
Nature's Way Fortify Probiotic
Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega
600mg Calcium
5000iu D3
Milk Thistle
Optimum Arginine (4000mg serving)
MusclePharm BCAA (6000mg serving)
MusclePharm CLA (5000mg serving)
At night:
Optimum ZMA
3mg Melatonin
1000mg Valerian
Saw a lot of comments about CLA - you need to take at least 3400mg of pure CLA to get the results they achieved in the study that most people site. You also should make sure your diet and workout routines are spot-on before spending money on this stuff. However, I only go out to eat or for drinks if it is a special occasion or there is a special person that requests my company - so I save a lot of money there and don't mind buying supps.
Oh yeah and drink a ton of water for your kidney's sake0 -
I take BE HOT from GNC and love it...it's loaded in calcium, amino acids, you should look it up. It has everything in it to maximize your workout.0

You guys are way too young to have chronic joint problems (unless there has been injury involved)
Check this out below. Hope it can work for you also.

While it may not solve all problems, it certainly won't be harmful.
Good advice! That's actually another reason I've slacked off on taking the glucosamine is since I've been eating better I don't seem to need it as much0
