I noticed my clothes changing after about 15 pounds. At about 25 pounds, I had three people ask me (on the same day) if I had gotten a haircut. Hang in there. I promise that it's more than worth it. Then, keep hanging in there. You will start to notice more and more as time passes. For me, the "body" difference was rather sudden (also at about 25 pounds). I had a lot more to lose than you, though. Now, I can see a difference every 5 pounds or so.

    Endeavor to persevere.

It's an ongoing battle with me. I sometimes don't notice at all unless I look at pictures or look at my old "fat" pants. Others noticed way before I did.

I did notice the small things though, like changes in pant sizes, being able to cross my legs again, the way I fit into my chair at work, etc. Things like that I notice more than my actual appearance.

Hardly at all until after 30lb... Yes I know that probably isn't what you wanted to hear, lol, but unfortunately it's true.

I'm down 13.5 and if it weren't for taking pics I wouldn't notice. Def take pics to compare to when you think you aren't getting results.. The pics will show your success!

I think it depends so much on your body, where you hold your weight, and how much you have to lose. I lost a LOT of weight once and it wasn't even noticable until I had lost almost 60 pounds. Sounds crazy, but when you have 200 to lose... that was a drop in the bucket.

At 5 pounds I noticed my pants were lose in the waist and the ring that I wear was spinning around my finger (it's a top heavy turquoise ring)…

Don't get discouraged. Everyone's body is a little different. I distribute weight evenly, I always have. so when it came to loss it came off evenly to and it was hard to tell that anything had been lost. At the same time I would wake up and but on a belt and notice that suddenly I could tighten it one more notch, or I'd put on some jeans and suddenly they felt to loose. One day just recently I put on a pair of jeans and then told everyone I think I put on the wrong size because they were to loose. If you are having problems seeing the change. Try measuring yourself. The scale reflects weight, not muscle toning. So try measuring. In the past there have been times when I have had to measure myself to tell that there was any difference, because the scale didn't show it and I didn't feel any different. I hope this helps to encourage you,

    kristie :)

People notice, I don't.... so far the only thing I am noticing is my clothes are fitting looser.... other than that nothing. I have no idea if I lost anything though, our scale is out of order and I am to lazy to figure out what is wrong, or buy a new on

I'm down 82lbs and sometimes I *still* don't notice it. Weight loss is gradual, so you won't suddenly feel completely different. Every 15lbs or so, if I'm feeling like I haven't made progress lately, I put on a shirt (the same shirt every time) and take a picture in the mirror. Then I put the new picture and an older one side by side on my computer screen and soak it in. You'll see the difference then.

I've lost almst 30 and only recently have several people made comments (I really felt/noticed at around 15 lbs) and maybe people were noticing, but just not saying things IDK. It is nice to finally hear a few comments and they seriously came all at the same time. They also came when the scale was almost at a stand still...so it was a great motivator! A few people close to me have noticed and said things, but they are along for the ride too...so they have the daily updates etc. My kids are the best though, they keep noticing different things and we all know how honest kids can be! LOL Just don't get down, keep doing what you are doing and it will happen!

Losing weight takes awhile before you see the changes. I can tell you that doing yoga and lifting weights changed the shape of the body I have. People noticed a lot more once my shape began to look more solid and toned. A blend of healthy eating and exercise is key. Don't give up. We are all here and in this together. :)

Lost 20 lbs before I noticed.
Lost 30 lbs before anyone else noticed.
    Gained 10 over the winter.
Lost 10 lbs EVERYbody notices (difference was strength training).

It's funny that you posted this, because just the other day I decided to fish a compliment out of my boyfriend.

I said, "Hey, so I've been dieting and lifting weights for over a month now, do you think I look any better?"

He said, "Yeah, I know you have. You've really stuck with it. But to be honest, you look exactly the same."

    ...Total Bummer.

Just remember, one day we will look awesome and it will all be worth it!

Well, I'm not down a lot but have very similar goals. I am at about 170 now and notice my "skinny jeans" hang looser and my muffin top is almost gone. That's neat for me. So like 15 pounds or so. Pictures got me though to this point though. Hang in there! :)

It's hard to see it on yourself since you body shape doesn't change that quickly. Trust the scale, how your clothes are feeling, and trust when other people start noticing..and they will! I am down 54 lbs and I finally see it in my face, but since my shape hasn't changed it's harder for me to see the differences. Keep it up! You can do this:)

Although I recently got myfitnesspal and started tracking my results...I've been working out for 13 months now and have lost about 43 pounds. I started seeing a difference after 15 pounds...but didn't think it was that significant. Others saw it more than I did. I personally saw a huge difference once I hit the 25 pound mark...but even now sometimes I look in the mirror and I don't know if its shock or what...I feel like I haven't made that much change. Other days I think I'm a completely new person. It's honestly how you look at yourself. Don't beat yourself up...every pound makes the difference!!!

But for my own sanity...I started recording everything. Every time I dropped a pant size I would record my weight, and I realized about every 10 pounds would equal dropping one pant size.

Record these small changes...and then you can look back on them and realize that every step you take is a step towards the right direction.

I started buying new clothes after about 25 pounds, and people started noticing after 50-60.

The main difference I noticed was in my thighs at 15 pounds, but my mom visited me after I had lost about 7 pounds and she said I looked thinner even then.

ur 185 now? i didnt start really noticing till now that im 170 from 206 and i still feel fat lol i hope i feel better 20 pounds from now. But to answer your question id say anywhere from 25 to 30 youll start noticing. If youre smaller youll obviously notice faster.

It's hard to see it in yourself, since you look at yourself every day and the change is gradual. I noticed when my pants starting sliding down my hips a bit and I could finally fit into that smaller pair  But I still look in the mirror and don't believe I've changed. Then again, as women, we are our own worst critics!

    It's the Paper Towel Principle.

Every sheet in a roll of paper towel is the same size, thickness, shape. You can use half the roll before it looks any different to you though. After that, it's easier to notice it's getting smaller. Near the end, every sheet makes a difference.

    Fat is kinda similar. :)
  • I've lost 17 lbs and i haven't noticed at all yet. A few of my friends have said they have but they know i'm trying so i think they were just trying to boost my ego. lol i'm thinking i should see something around 30 lbs.

Hang in there, Its a slow process but its a process that works :-D
