My 2.0 4cyl Chevy eats Mustangs and is still hungry!
I've had more than a few Mustangs I'd like to see your little Chevy try to eat.
It's always so fun to see these 'big eating' Chevy's go home with their tails between their legs.0 -

Ha When your mustang can run close to 10sec come find me!0 -
Neither one makes a Jeep so they are both losers.0

Before I sold it, my Mustang in the video above ended up going 10.23@138mph...in crap Phoenix summer air. Pump gas, naturally aspirated, stock 302 block based 347ci motor. That second pass in the video was in the 11.60's, with a 2 second 60', babying the throttle, no tune (and I mean 24* total timing, and stupid fat jets in the too small 700cfm carb), no cage, no suspension, leaving just off idle, crap tires...and short shifting by 2000+rpm.
I.e...shakedown run.
Also, that was certainly not my fastest Mustang.
I think I've got you covered .0 -
General question, Chevy vs Ford an why?
My 2011 Victory red Chevy Camaro beats my old 2007 Ford Mustang convertible with the Pony Package any day. IJS0 -

Wow similar to my 93 setup, 10.90 run was blowing the tires off with a 190 shot on it.0

We have a 2001 Chevy van and it's still running but not without some TLC from the hubby. Had to replace lots of parts on this baby and I only drive about 10,000 miles a year so it shouldn't be that worn out. Replaced a Dodge Durango (awesome vehicle but damn it all to hell on gas) and got a brand new Ford Edge. I love, love, did I say love the Ford Edge. Drove Chevy and drove Ford and got to say Ford just seems more solidily built. And last husband has a 69" Ford Mustang coupe that most people drool over when he takes it out. So I would say Ford. I don't think my van will make it to be 43 years old.0

Totally depends on the vehicle. Had a Ford Escort- it was great for the price, had a Topaz- it sucked. Had a F150 it was ok, have an Avalanche now- it is awesome. Had a Cadillac CTS- looked nice but sucked, like my Benz much better than anything I have had with 4 wheels.0

I have a Fusion right now and love it, so I'm going with Ford (for now),
The last GM product I bought was a giant piece of crap, and the service I got from the dealer and from the company itself was even worse than the lousy product, so I'm DONE with GM.
Generally, i'll do my research now before I buy anything.
As for the American vs Foreign argument, its a waste of breath. There's NO SUCH THING as an "American Car" anymore (nothing is 100% made in the US anymore), and the money you spend on ANY vehicle will be invested globally regardless of what country's flag flies above their HQ buildings...0 -
My Fathers response to why he got a chevy over a ford:
"You moron ex boyfriend had 2, and they support gay pride"
Also, Chevys seem to last forever. I love my impala!0 -
Honestly, if you own a Toyota you have no right to own a truck. They're pathetic.

I live in Ford County but the cops drive Chevys LOL0

Ford. Always bought Fords and they have been reliable and steady cars. Love my Ford Fusion. Case in point: friend paid nearly as much for a Cavalier as I did for a Fusion and had no electric door handles or window controls, the AC broke within a couple of years, and she has already moved on to a new car... a Ford. Fancy that!0

I've owned all makes. In my eyes they are all about equal but I've always been a ford guy. I've allways loved mustangs my dream is a '69 mach 1

Chevy for the Corvette... any year as far as I am concerned.
Ford for the Raptor and the latest Mustangs. I am fond of the '68 Shelby's though.0 -

Great choices!! Whether the new models or the older models, Vettes will always be a great car....& Shelby's are awesome also!!0 -
My all time favorite is the '65 Corvette Stingray Convertible but I guess I can settle for a newer one0
-
Like a lot of other people have said -- Ford took no bailout money.
Annnnd um, the Mustang Shelby Cobra GT 500 and the 1970 mustang boss 302.0 -
Look for the hopeless people talking on and on about foreign cars being the best they obvisouly know very little about trucks. Find me a foreign vehicle that can pull a trailor worth half a damn. I drive a 2000 Ford F-250. It has the 7.3l diesel in it and I pick Toyotas and Hondas out of my grill.
This is America......support it or get out!0 -
