He has seen doctors, he goes to the chiropractor and I did talk him into seeing a massage therapist. He has pretty much done it all to try to get help. It seems he will be good for a while, then go through a few bad months, so it's not all bad. Just having a bad few months right now....Sometimes it just feels better to talk about it. If anyone has suggestions to help with the migraines, we also believe that the stomach problems are "stomach migraines", something that is just now getting out there, so if anyone knows about them any info would be wonderful. I will get over this frustration, just typing it has helped, and hiring somebody will help too. Thanks again!:flowerforyou:0

Ignoring most of the ranting here, I offer a hug or two to you for everything you have/are and will go thru with your hubby.
I know how you feel - way to damn much. My hubby was dx'ed w/ Graves nearly 3 years ago and even before that, it has been a one sided marriage. I do all the housework, I hold down a great paying (but heavy stress) job because he's often unemployed and I get very little in mental, psychical or emotional support from him. I have medical issues that I can't even afford to deal with myself on top of everything else. I do "rant" on to people, I do try to talk to him, but it hasn't really gotten ANY better.
There are days that I want to tell him to leave.
But I do love him..... so I suffer.
So hugs of support & understanding. I hope you can make him try & get the help (or atleast do the necessary steps to fix the problems when they show up). I also back what the other said in getting a part-time person to help with the business, even if hubby is against it. If the business fails, he'll be alot more miserable than he is.0 -

I am seeing a neurologist who specializes in migraine headaches - it has made a world of difference. It can be frustrating because there are a lot of different ways to treat migraines and not all of them work for everyone so it is trial and error. Migraines can place a lot of strain on the whole family. I quoted the above post because I thought it was excellent advice.0 -
I agree with her!!! Kudos to her for saying how it is!!! I hope your partner never gets cancer or anything major life threatening.. To me it sounds that you are mad that he gets sick because it means that you have to do more work... Clearly thats the only problem. otherwise you would be supportive to your partners needs and help as much as possible!!!! sometimes in relationships with your partner its not always 50/50 sometime one partner have to put more work in then the other, other times the other partner will put in more work but its all balances out!!! I think you keep too much score in your relationship!! keeping score as to how much time off he takes or how often he doesnt feel well and then wallow in your own frustrations because you have to do more.. Thats a shame!!! great GREAT teamwork you got going on!!! I can only wonder what would cause migraines!0

I never thought I would be the one to start "THAT" thread but here it is.....To everyone who wanted to jump on me, whatever, I just needed to vent, he knows I feel this way and we do work through it. JUST NEED TO VENT SOMETIMES!!! Hope you never have "human" feelings like frustration...... I do love him and that is why we've been together for 15 years.
To those who offered advice and support, THANK YOU!!!:drinker: :flowerforyou: Sometimes you just need someone to say it WILL get better.0 -

Well Keep in mind you are venting to a bunch of strangers. So they are going to give you their opinions and thoughts. Dont post something that you dont want people to comment on. Maybe your vent would be on your facebook status where your friends can tell ya all the warm fuzzies you want to hear!.0 -
You sound like a gem.

Here is a great poem to read over!!!!
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
this^^^^^^^ I could have not said it better. I sit hear and read some of these posts in this thread and no wonder why divorce is so common.0 -

People often Misconstrued truth for rudeness..Actually truth can be rude.but it can set you free.
Well, if being rude while telling the truth makes you feel better or "sets you free", then by all means it should be done. After all, this life is not about how I treat others, but what makes ME feel good. I forget that.0 -
1. Get that man to a Neurologist*. Make the appointment for him, tell him you're taking him to FroYo, and walk him into the doctor's office if that's what it takes. He will probably be mad at you for doing this, but you obviously love him and Migraines are no joke.
2. Hire a cleaning lady. You'll feel guilty about it at first, but only until you realize you haven't had to clean the toilet in 3 months and it's magically still clean. Bonus points if your cleaning lady will wash your sheets or put dinner in the oven for you.
Don't be afraid to expedite and delegate. Your time is worth a lot. Not even your free time is free!
*Edited to change "doctor" to neuro. My GP thought my migraines were all in my head (HA! Get it?) and told me to "treat" with Advil. ADVIL! My neuro got me on a fantastic cocktail of meds and I've been migraine-free for over a year.0 -
