Guy gets kicked out of an all you can eat

That is so petty! This man is complaining about not being able to get more fish after *12* plates of it, when children over seas are dieing of starvation and would do anything for even a 1/2 of one! This completely disgusts me.0
-
Would he be protesting if the place had legit run out of fish?0
-
People like this make me hate America. I mean, I don't hate America but this kind of crap sure makes us look like petty idiots.
It's not even the fact that he is a shameless fat *kitten*, it is the sense of entitlement that people have and the common practice of taking advantage of cheap crap to such an extreme.
I'm going to punch the next person I see eating any sort of fish as a rage outlet from this link. Sorry, fish people blame this guy.
Really? Because the part I hate is the bastige capitalists who put an 'all you can eat' sign out and then try to change the rules. I'm not going to judge the guy - but he's right.0 -

1st) he had a tab. VERY few restaurants will let you have a tab.
2nd) he goes every week!
3rd) he stuffs food in his pants, so unless a part of him is eating that shouldn't be-then he is not abiding by their rules
4th) he "creeps out the waitresses
5th) no matter what size you are-be reasonable! Don't eat enough food to feed an entire third world country!
6th)what all you can eat buffet gives you FOOD TO GO??
7th) in my opinion-complete idiot0 -
I hope he stays out of the ocean.0

I heard of Samoans getting kicked out.
Same. I heard the manager tell them, "It's all you can eat, not you can eat all!"
And that's when buffets impose a 2 hour time limit.0 -

If it advertises "all you can eat", then it should give all you can eat. Plain and simple.
I agree with this 100%. Whether it's healthy or not is not the issue. "All you can eat" implies unlimited consumption.
I don't think it means "unlimited consumption." It means "all that a reasonable person can eat," not "all that a gluttonous fool can eat"! :laugh:0 -

You know, every country has asshats....
Just America's seem to be more consistent...0 -
My immediate thought was the Simpsons too!
It seems there is more to this story than simply kicking him out for once offence, but even ignoring that, most 'unlimited' services have a "fair usage policy", so it doesn't seem that unreasonable to expect this to be the same. Is the advertising any more unreasonable than a car dealership advertising a car at a "reduced price" when they have never sold a single one at list, or a bar advertising cheap drinks, but refusing to serve a drunk?
Although technically we can all claim the sign says all you can eat, most reasonable people don't take this as some kind of challenge to physcially stuff themselves beyond enjoyment, just because they can.
Also normally the management reserve the right to do whatever they like. They wouldn't stop most people from eating, even if it causes them a loss because the publicity would not be good, but in cases like this, the publicity seems to do them a favour.
On the topic of waste, I'm not a big visitor to all you can eat palces, but I once went to a Chinese that did an all you can eat offer some evenings. They said you could order as much as you liked, but anyhitng not eaten at the end of the meal had to be paid for at the normal menu price in addition to the all you can eat price. Seems a good way to stop people ordering stuff they ahve no intention of eating.0 -
Oh wow. And we wonder why no one in the world respects us.
Oh sure. THIS is the reason. Right.

I have two young cousins (22 years old, 6 feet, 5 inches each, very athletic and built boys) that were asked to leave an all you can eat buffett. I'm guessing it wasn't the place to go after weeks of football two-a-days!0

To quote the article:
"A Wisconsin man got cut off after he wolfed down a dozen pieces of fish at an all-you-can-eat fish fry, so he did what any red-blooded American would do: he made a picket sign and protested.
Bill Wisth -- a fish-eating machine at 6-foot-6-inches tall and 350 lbs -- was miffed when workers at his favorite local restaurant in Thiensville, Chuck's Place, said they were running out of yummy sea creatures.
"It's false advertising," Wisth told TMJ4. "We asked for more fish, and they refused to give us more fish."
Fed up with his whining, workers gave him eight more pieces of fish to go, but it wasn't enough. Wisth called police -- a move that turned up no results -- and came back two days later with a picket sign.
"I think that people have to stand up for consumers," he said.
The eatery didn't change its policy for Wisth. Waitress Elizabeth Roeming said the man has been a problem for years, and has a substantial tab he hasn't yet paid off, the Associated Press reported.
But Wisth said he's not done fighting the great fish fight, nor is he finished with fish-fry Fridays at Chuck's Place. Heck, he still admits the food is irresistible."

He was denied service there because he didn't pay his tab not because of the volume of food he ate.
At 350lbs, the restaurant did him a favour. I wish the cheese counter in our local supermarket would bar ME0 -
Once (35 years ago) when my Grandfather was visiting he took the entire family (10 of us total) to an all you can eat buffet. All 5 of my older brothers were active in Jr. and Sr. High sports at the time. They hit up the meat section of the buffet 5-6 times EACH and came back with full plates every time. They would have gotten more, but they had run out of roast beef and turkey and only had chicken and liver left. They ate every bit that they took from the buffet. Mom, Dad, Grandpa, my Uncle and I ate normally. When the bill came to the table it was brought by the manager. He very politely asked that we not return. We never did. Our family still gets a chuckle out of it.:laugh:0

HAHAHA I live close to this place. So silly!0

AWWWWW Way to represent Wisconsin, buddy!!!!0

I worked at an All You Can Eat and this lady maybe in her late 50's would come in at 10:30am and have breakfast (stay an hour) Lunch was 11:30 and then she would eat again. I worked there for 4 months and I saw her everyday.0

All you can eat...but its not meant to be free. The guy had run up a tab there. They had every right to kick him out.0 -
He called the police?
He still wasn't happy despite being given an extra 8 pieces of fish?
He hadn't paid his tab?
He is protesting this instead of more important issues, like the fact we're overfishing the damn oceans?
*kitten* i n g idiot.0 -
*I only got to eat 12 plates of fried fish!!!!!*
First world problems. Perspective, please.
