Dark under-eye circles can be caused by several different things:

    1) heredity
    2) anemia (low iron), or other vitamin deficiency.
    3) allergy or sensitivity - especially to dairy products or wheat
    4) poor sleep
    5) dehydration

Any of they above reasons, except heredity, can be remedied. Start by going over your food diary and making adjustments to anything that stands out. You can't always get rid of the circles entirely, but they can be made much less noticeable. From what you describe, you should probably focus on #s 2, 3, and 5.
HAHAHA!!! Well it looks like I'm pretty much screwed, cuz I have all of the above except dehydration. I can remedy the anemia, but I point blank refuse to give up dairy even tho it hates me. Cheese, sour cream, yogurt and the occasional ice cream will always have a place in my stomach. Thank god for mineral makeup!!!

I got the dark circles also. I was down 50 pounds and looked gaunt. I got Estee Lauder Idealist even skintone illuminator and a good moisturizer with dragon's blood to tighten the skin. I'm now down 111 pounds and my face is looking better!

If you are not too shy about it, you might consider opening your food diary so some of us can take a look. You may get some more informed suggestions that way.
