Possible NSV - I bought my first bikini EVER

Ok so I'm not quite sure how I feel about wearing a bikini. I am super weary about it, mostly because of my backside - it's rather large. I've never worn a bikini before in my adult life, but I thought this summer I would give it a go. Anytime spent out of the water will most likely be spent in a cover-up, but hey, at least I'm trying! I am seriously considering buying one more swimsuit that is more modest- like a sporty tankini or something.

Anyway, judging by these pictures do you think I can consider this as an NSV? (I can take constructive criticism, but please be gentle as I am really putting myself out there by posting these pics. Thanks!) O, and the one top is really a brighter orange but my camera wasn't really capturing that so for some reason it looks more yellow...

    You look hot Spn :) I prefer the style of the bottom one but the colour of the top one.....getting one in that shade of yellow would really suit you too!! (I know it's orange but that yellow does look awesome anyway!)

    I think you look great! But the bottoms don't look right in either suit. Maybe go a size up? Or look for one that isn't so low cut. But they don't look bad.

    lol you are so crazy always asking if you can be proud of something! You look great. I think if you're booty insecure it might be better to go for a boyshort with cinch ties on the side that way you can alter the amount of bootymeat getting shown depending on your feelings for the day. ;)

    ugh i know that's my problem! the ones that are bigger are baggy and make me look like i have sand in my butt and front... if i get higher waisted ones it squishes my mommy pooch. ugh. my d@mn *kitten* doesn't fit in any suits... even with the boy shorts i still had a little side cheek hangin out. :/

    i think you look great but i prefer the bottom one. i think the briefs on that one suit you more. by the way you don't have a big bottom it's just right.

    I think you look great, and so does your backside. I do think though that the bikini bottoms look too small. The tops look perfect.

    And from one bottom heavy woman to another....go for two peicers that are dark and basic on bottom, colorful and/or frilly on top. Draws the ol' peepers upwards and away from the trouble areas. :wink:

    First of all - you look great - so rock those bikinis. Second, check out bottoms that tie/adjust on this sides a bit more or have the "foldover" material (similar to yoga pants), this will eliminate your issue i think.

    Getting a bikini with the "scrunch-butt" option can make your backside look way better. You can go to Ujena.com, FlirtCatalog.com or Bikini.com to find them :) the way they ruche it keeps your bum looking shapely and keeps the bikini from sagging when you get out of the water.
