If I got into tips on dieting it would take me all day but i will try my best to add a few every so often when they pop in my head.
If you want to keep and eye for those send me a friend request.
I'll add a few for now.
Portions - If your making a sandwich( or any meal) instead of eating the entire thing split it up into smaller portions....$5 foot long a nice meal with a lot of bread ( i get 9 grain honey oat) BUT instead of the 1 cut ask them to make 3 or mor cuts so you have 4 or more smaller sandwiches and space them out with atleast an hour or two gap.
Less Food, More meals - this goes along with the above instead of eating a big meal try eating a smaller meal or half of a meal then wait and hour or 2 and eat the rest, same amount of food but your prolonging that full feeling w'o adding calories.
VEGGIES! - find a few vegies (or alot of them) and pick the lowest calorie ones such as celery, green beans, onion, peppers, ect, Now think of different ways to prepare them WITHOUT OIL unless minimal for stirfrying using canola nonstick spray or 0 cal butter like the parkay spray (awesome stuff). I will by about 3-5 bags of different mixed veggies such as ones labeled for use in stir-fry, stew, soup, ect (i love finding the ones with okra) OR you can buy them separately (they go on sale alot) . Which ever way you go mix them all evenly and store in a freezer safe bowl/lid or storage bag. Now doing this you may want to use the recipe calc under tools to add the amounts of server and nutrition (per bag) so you can figure it into a mixed calorie/serving amount. my favorite use for them is adding to 1cup of low sodium or homemade chicken broth and boil til veggies are done or for more into it add some cutup chicken breast, ground turkey or my fav a beaten egg or two (stir using a chopstick or similar in one direction quickly causing the eggdrop soup effect)
Same food with different style - This is one of my biggest tricks to keep from getting bored of a food. Say for example your making eggs for bfast, we could make 2 eggs with yolks scrambled (i don't use milk) with some taco seasoing, onion, and salsa for a fiesta omelet like meal, well the next you could eat the same 2 eggs but instead use italian seasoning, garlic POWDER(not salt), and parmesan for an itialian inspired flavor (adding some shredded slow cooked chicken is very good in both of these) Another example is soups you could do a taco soup, Italian, cajun, ect all by ONLY switching the seasonings.
Thanks the tips for now.0 -
Just AMAZING!!!!!! I am praying for continued success for you. Lorrie0

Most of this is a copy/paste from my Intro.
I was your average "husky" kid on school and In Middle School I was around 5'10" 185lbs in wrestling club. I also "was" going to be on the football team until they did not warn me about wrapping feet with new cleats...So i tore off the back of my heal (huge blister). Around Summer after 7th grade I was put on a medication that caused my weight to go from the 185 to around 330 in about 6 months, this is when I was diagnosed with Diabetes and Hypertension. I Was also in a Very bad auto accident about 3 years ago and have had a lot of leg troubles due to the injuries. About 7 months ago my Endocrinologist(diabetic dr) Advised me to try a strict Diet that was high protien and low cal/carb and Surprising to myself and others I was able to stick with it. Recently I have been altering the diet to add more variety w'o adding extra calories or losing protein. I am proud to say that Between my faith and this diet I have now Lost over 100lbs in that 7 months w'o out any health risks. In fact its just the opposite, I no longer need to take ANY medications for Diabetes or Hypertension . I am currently a member of a local fitness center and work out for around 1-2 hrs about 3-4 time per week. I went from 3 and 4x shirts and 52 pants to L and XL (some are L are loose even) annd size 38 pants. My main issue now is that I need Advice on Workout routines that I can do at the fitness Center I use. I will post a request for advice in the appropriote forum area soon. Thanks for reading and remember If a stubborn lazy guy Like me can boost energy and Confuse the neighbors ( they literally thought my wife switched guys) then ANYONE can do it. If you set yourself to it and don't give up YOU WILL SUCCEED! Below are 4 photos, 2 are from before I starting working on improving my health the other 2 are more recent i would say about a month ago so still lost more weight since then.
**BEFORE**
**AFTER** NOTE! The Red shirt from both Before and the first After are the same shirt (it fits more like a robe now...)
Thank you for allowing me to share my progress, I am not done yet. I plan on toning and keeping myself in better shape from now on.
