bump I need some ideas too!
  • mariante your thawed filets in fat free italian dressing or cesar/italian dressing (i like this one better) for at least 30 minutes, the longer they marinate the more flavorful they become...dredge filets in italian bread crumbs...broil for 10 minutes on each side....when done, top with a piece of low fat swiss cheese and put back under broiler for a minute or two...

I ate this every night last week....shamelessly addicted! :-)

my favorite for seafood is this seasoning, the seafood run http://www.cookscorner.net/SpecialtyFood/dean-jacobs-rubs.html I use it on anything white, like tilapia, so good on scallops, orange roughy, barrimundi. I usually pan fry with a little brommel and brown or broil in a toaster oven @ 450. Another thing I like to do is chop a handful of zucchini, yellow squash, onions, broccoli and mushrooms, simmer in butter till halfway done, then add a few frozen tilapia fillets, add a 1/4 - 1/2 cup bone daddy's margherita mix (sounds weird but really good) and cover, simmer till fish flakes apart.
  • Defrost fish overnight for next day's dinner.

    Old bay seasoning,
    Lemon pepper seasoning
A tiny pat of butter on top
Bake in oven (use Pam on the pan) at 350F for about 15 minutes
    Eat.

Tilapia is a pretty mild fish, so it basically tastes like what you cook it with.

Dip it in lemon juice, sprinkle youre favorite seasoning on it I like "kickin chicken" or 'tony chacharies". I put a little oil in the pan and bake them at 400 for about 15 minutes.

Its so easy you can cook 5-6 lbs all at once. You just need more than one pan. Put in the refrigerator and you have about 3 days worth of food ready.

Put it on foil in the pan. Easy clean up and less likely to stick and use less oil.

    The best and easiest way......

Wrap in alluminum foil with the seasoning you prefer...I do Garlic and Parmesan alot....some water to cover just a little and bake it.....Also you can lay it flat out and broil...which cooks pretty quick..... (seasonings can vary, lemon pepper, spicy, or liquid smoked) all are delish....Enjoy!

On white fish like tilapia, one of my favorite ways to prepare it is to sprinkle with turmeric, squeeze a bit of lemon over top and some fresh or dried dill. I bake it at 375 until the thickest part flakes.

My husband hates anything that tastes remotely fishy...I cook in a extra virgin olive oil very lightly...add a little bit of I can't believe its not butter (or something similar) and sprinkle with garlic salt. Cook it at 425, flipping it every 5-7 minutes (about 2 flips per side, or whenever it starts falling apart). And if you are looking for an AWESOME brand of frozen fish, try SeaBest. It thaws in literally 5 minutes and tastes fresh!

 Spray a skillet with heart-healthy cooking spray

Sprinkle fillets with cajun seasoning (Tony Chachere's is AMAZING), garlic powder, cilantro and some lemon pepper.

Cook in the skillet to your desired consistency with fresh lime juice

SO YUMMY! Serve with baked sweet tater or brown rice.. or salad!! YUMMY!

I guess I know what I'm having for dinner tonight

I am not much of a fish fan, but had Tilapia for the first time yesterday. I fried it in olive oil and put lemon juice on it. Yum.
  • glazing it with Italian salad dressing ...you'll thank me later
  • I eat Tilapia all the time. I just put a little olive oil, onion and garlic in a pan and sear them. Then I have a fresh peach salsa that I put on it. It tastes great!

I sprinkle them with lemon pepper and bake them using the instruction on the package. Adds flavor not extra calories.
