Good morning SHGP!
I am at 208.6 pounds this week. I have exercised for 630 minutes this week. I guess my hunger beat me this week. I did eat my fruit and veggies this week plus a lot of extra food. I did well drinking my water. I did get about 30 minutes of me time 4 days this week. Have a great day. I have had only one doctor's appointment and my husband did go with me. I think plans to come with me as much as possible. I think he has more questions than I do. Also, I think he wants to make sure the things that went wrong with Ody don't happen with me. I am grateful that he is this active with my pregnancy.

I weight in at 249.4 this week, due to be sick got no exercise this week. Did ok with food, got all my water in. Hopefully I can start this week a little better. Good luck all0 -
good morning SHGP - I've been absent a lot this week, wasnt' feeling well Wednesday, kind of threw my week off.
However, good news on the scale the morning - 138.4!! Finally another pound gone.
Exercise this week 220 minutes. Hope to get back on track this week and amp that up, I'm going to Florida for vacation in 3 weeks, want to rock the bikini

Not very happy this morning the my weight last week 195 this week up 2 pounds:sad: 197, 220 mins. exercise for the week. I dont want to add 2 pounds to my weight, but it needs to be correct. :grumble:
I dont know what happend, why did I gain, I exercised everyday, ate my fruits and veggies, was really good with my calories, drank my water, very discouraging. Ok now Im done complaining. I will keep at it. I will not look at the scale until next Friday. I did take my measurements which made me feel better. So far lost 4inches in waist and hips. :drinker: That is from the past 3 months. not bad. I know I am doing the right things, so either I have water weight or gaining muscle.

today's weight 164.4 so that's a loss from the previous week.
Last week I had 170 minutes of exercise.
I'm traveling for work next week -- thus the eating may not be as good nor will the exercise. May not be able to check in until Friday. Just realized, I won't be near my weigh in scale until mid afternoon next friday.

Good morning Smokin' Hot Green Peppers!!!
I have to be happy today. I weighed in at 230 this morning, down a lb!! I can only assume that Wednesday's numbers were probably water weight. I had forgotten to take my BP meds a few days before & I guess it is possible I hadn't gotten all the water I retained out of my system. Whatever it was, I need to stop looking at the scale mid-week. I managed to get in 340 minutes of exercise this week.
Tomorrow, I'm doing another 5K. I let a friend and my sister convience me to do the Little Rock Mud Run. It is exactly what it sounds like, at the end there is a mud pit you have to run through. They actually score it and give away prizes for the best entrance into the pit. One part of me thinks it sounds like a blast, but the other part of me hates getting dirty. I can't believe I'm willingly going to run through a mud pit!!! If anyone wants to look at the pictures from some previous years, the website is mudrun.org. People dress in costume and everything!!
Sindy, if you are down on inches, I bet the gain is probably muscle. It's common to gain when you add muscle. If that is the case, the extra muscle will only help lose the extra body fat in the long run, so it is a very good thing. My weight loss has really slowed down a lot since I started bike riding this summer. I was really discouraged at first but then I started noticing how the muscles were changing. I can actually see the muscle definition in my legs instead of just the fat sitting on top.0 -

I stayed the same this week (LW 176 lbs.) (CW 176 lbs.) but I did manage to get in 500 minutes of exercise this week between hiking and walking.0

Thank you Pepper's for all the support. I have been working harder and can feel every muscle so I know I am building and I am seeing the difference in my clothes too. :bigsmile: I can feel better now that I updated my measurements.
Congrat's to everyone that lost a few, stayed the same. :drinker:
I will keep working on this I walked today my 2.5 miles in 35 mins. that is the fastest yet. :drinker:

sindy - you lost inches and if you're seeing a difference in your clothes then you're doing something right.
crystal - mud run? I kinda feel the same way - it would be fun and I hate to be dirty. However, you'll probably enjoy the run.

The Mud Run was fun, but exhausting!! At the end of the 5K, there is a 300 ft long mud pit. The mud was so deep and cold!!! I had no idea that making it through was going to be as challenging as it was. I kept falling in holes and getting stuck. My husband tackled me a few times. I was covered by the time we made it to the end!! It was a blast!!0

Helllloooooooooooooooo! :drinker: sorry so late posting peppers! geeez, been so crazy here. well, as i assumed, i gained 3.8 this week....my eating has been horrible and only 30 min of exercise. still not feeilng well, and at moments i think i am gettin worse than better. definately not gettin enuf sleep on my new bed :yawn:
youngest son had his last fball game last nite, and we lost. it was so sad, and he was very upset as were many of the other Seniors. helped my mom paint today. gettin my walls ready here too.

Sindy ~ 2 lbs could be many things...like you mentioned, water, new muscle mass....stay positive and just keep on keepin', you're gonna do it! you have other things that are encouraging... 4 inches gone, faster walk time... YIPPY! look at the good you are doing!! and i agree with Crystal, the more muscle you have the higher your metabolism is, and therefore, more calories are burned all day long!
Miss V ~ stay in the game here.....i know you can do this! i have so not had a good week, well, 2 now...i really need to get serious..take care sweets!
Barb ~ yeah for the loss! you will do fine next week, just be mindful and do as good as you can, drink the water.

Well, I would say we basically met our 200 hr Team Challenge!! Way to go Smokin' Hot Green Peppers!! I am so proud of this team! On another note, I would like to say I personally need to improve here, I mean really, really in a bad way. Exercise is one of the major areas where I usually give up, and start gaining. I need to work on changing this and really making it a priority in my life. Exercise, it does a body/mind/soul good!! :bigsmile:0 -
I didn't include my Friday's exercise time in. I exercised for 150 minutes on Friday.:happy: I hope everyone had a great weekend. This next week will be busy for me as I will be trying to get my house in order for company over the weekend. My sister is planning to come for the weekend. I am excited that my son will have family around for his birthday. I plan on inviting my in-laws over on Halloween to have lunch and birthday cake. On Halloween, my son will turn 17.
I can't believe he is getting so big. It seems like just yesterday he was 7. Oh how time flies. Have a great night SHGP!!

Hey all........sorry I have been a busy gal........so here I am with my first weigh in.
20 mins workout
247 pounds....
I am gonna try my very hardest to be in logging everyday. We are moving this month, so I need to pack. Moving to a new complex that has a workout room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooooo excited. So now when I am doing laundry (3 times a week) I can do that workout.
Need to catch up on the posts.....hope you all are ok.

I was so bad this weekend!Did not record anything,never made it to the gym and omg I ate pizza and a hambuger 2 things I have not eaten over the last 4 months. To afraid to look at the scale. So that said, it a new day and going to the gym after work and move on.

Good Monday Mornin' SHGP's!!
I just want to say it here that I have not been doing well with my supposedly, "lifestyle change" for a good, almost 2 weeks now. I have good mornings, I have bad ones, I might do good all one day then horrible the next 2 or 3 or 4 or 5......just out of control, really. Seems something else is going on, and I need to concentrate more on why this is happening. I need to remember to eat for energy and nutrition and NOT for my emotions.....it sure is a struggle at times, but someday I will master my mind!! :bigsmile:
Hey all, we gonna start a new Exercise Challenge? A month from today is Thanksgiving. Give me some ideas on how you want to do this... it could be a personal goal ( hrs ) or a team one. I honestly think we could do double the amount (like 400) in hours if we all work towards 4 to 5, 30 minute workouts a week or more. I know I really want to push myself here. I have some favorite sweaters that I would love to look slimmer in. Plus, I love the layer affect too. But it isn't just for that, it is for my overall s-e-l-f! Let me know what you want to do here....plz share your ideas!!
Oh, and our challenge this week is ** Do NOT get on the scale til Friday's weigh in **, for those of us that want to do this. I had my dh hide our scale....and I am going to have a busy week, so just gonna put that out of my mind for the next few days. Only 4 more days til weigh in....gosh time just flies....
A crazy week here....early outs on Tues/Thurs for school conferences, then No School on Friday..and of course Halloween Sat. I am working in our house rearranging, trying to de-clutter, clean out, wash walls, windows, curtains, woodwork, bedding, etc....yeah Fall cleaning. Really need to make some more room in my house and decide what we really need here.....and.....HS football is over! Wrestling will start the first week in December. Need to get my eating back on track so I am thick in the plan when that all starts...plus, it is gettin closer to the holiday season....OH BOY!!

Oh my, was this a bad week end for me too. :grumble: I did manage to exercise on sunday for 60 mins. Went out for a late lunch on Sat. at a chinese buffet, and I did eat, had no breakfast and no dinner ( was still full) and went over my calories no exercise. Sunday started off good, exercise had a good breakfast and good lunch. but had a shake from mcdonalds, did not know there were that many calories in it. Even though I did not eat dinner I was over calories.
Ok new day, wont step on scale until Friday, I do very well during the week so I think I am ok until Friday. :bigsmile:
Maybe a week end challenge would be good, cant think of one right now but will try.
This is the time of year I slacked off last year and I will not do that again, it is too hard to keep starting over. That will be my goal (challenge) not to give up through the holidays. The only two days that I will just eat what I want will be on Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. The rest I will stick with it. I am starting today. If any want to join me on this personal challenge welcome.

Kel- ok like the idea to double the hours for exercise. Because we both know we need to work on this. I could being so much better if I just exercise and I hear you say the same thing.

lol, Jacque! funny how that lil darn piece of digital knowledge can either start a day with a smile or a frown! i AM a daily weigher too....and i remember how hard it was the first time i did it. green team had just started anew back in Jan, and it was our very first challenge! i was soooo in the game then, and am sure i had a perfect week with eating and exercise, so, well, not in that mind frame this time, but i have no clue where my scale is right now, and i don't wanna start tearing my house apart lookin for it! :bigsmile: ok then, Jacque, lets rack up the numbers with A-C-T-I-V-I-T-Y!! I am ready to get my body in shape, less flab & toned up, and tummy IN, tire gone!:bigsmile:
Sindy~ I will join you on the holiday challenges. actually, i was on a thread where i had pledged to lose 30 lbs by Xmas......hmmm, that will not happen. But, I would like the scale to be moving down the next couple of months.....and to continue that direction, and start the new year with a healthier me and not one that is upset, disgusted and not have to make that New Year resolution to lose wt. Thanks for suggesting this....it IS a challenge thru the holidays, but I agree with you in stayin the course on eating and exercising, and enjoying the holiday meals.....while being mindful and eating in moderation!
just gettin ready to wash some dishes in my china cupboard. i guess my inlaws are leaving for the winter around Nov 9th, so we are having our thanksgiving this Friday, a fish fry....:sick: i get the choice of bringing a salad or dessert?? will have to think on that one...0 -
Hi All!! I was away all weekend working hard toward our exercise challenge! Including a long hike, I did 6 HOURS of exercise last week. I weighed in and stayed the same this week.
The weather has taken a serious turn toward fall and winter here. I decided that joining a gym is the only way I'm going to make it through the winter with a shread of sanity. I won't be working for a while, and I think it won't be long before that starts to make me nuts. Hopefully, I can pour that energy into working out!!
First day - 40 min on the treadmill....off to a good start.
