    I make grilled cheese with granny smith apples and swiss cheese. One of my favorite foods:)

    HONEYCRISP! They're only available (in my area, anyway) toward the end of summer, through fall and early winter. Worth the wait though - they're the very best!!

    galas are good but only for about a month after harvest, honeycrisps are good and its nice since the dont brown as fast after being cut. jonagolds are my favorite since they are a great all round apple that you can do anything with and survive storage well.

    this time of year ii try not to buy apples since they just dont taste as good, ill wait for sept.

    if you want a real treat though, get an asia pear:)

    I originally tried it because my dog is named Jazz, but it actually turned out to be my favourite.

    Honeycrisp are *amazing* and I get them when in season.

    When they aren't around I'll go for Royal Gala or Braeburn.
