I'd show it, but maybe I feel differently about scars than others. I have a scar smack dab on my freaking forehead which has been there since I was about 5. When I was younger, I was really conscious of it and felt embarrassed/ashamed. A lot of that, though, was due to the way everyone else handled it. People would glance at it every other second while talking to me and some people would lose track of what they were saying or stop listening to me because they'd just stare at the thing.

Funnily enough, on the few occasions people have asked how I got it, I have just told them. It's not even an exciting story. I fell out of a high chair because I wanted to play with a yo-yo but I was too short. I fell, hit my head, had to have stitches, the end. Now, though, I rarely think about it and if anyone does stare at it, I don't notice or care. Anyway, you look great and if you feel confident enough about your body, wear the bikini. Eff everyone else.

Scars are awesome. While I think that they do stand out, it is in a good way. Sets you apart from the crowd and is a good conversation starter, especially if you stick with your first story.

I've always wished I'd get into a knife fight and catch a vertical slash over one of my eyes. That would be a rad scar and I would stare creepily at everyone I saw.

Wear the bikini! So what you have a scar. Mine is scene everyday as it runs down the side of my face. We have them and can't do much about them so wear them proudly! I tell people I just had a bad face lift!! :)
