pros and cons
facebook:
pros: you can post pics easier and when commenting it notifies you
cons: can't access it at work
mfp:
pros: i can access it at work and its supportive
cons: doesnt notify me when i get updates on status's and posts.
i like both though.0 -

^^ This. I find myself on MFP much more than FB anymore...0 -
FB = people you know in real life who have millions of different goals & interests.
MFP = people you don't know in real life with common goals & interests.
People tend to hang tighter with those who have same common goals and interests.0 -

Agree totally...0 -
I love MFP. I socialise so much more on here than on Facebook...0

I use facebook to show family and friends pictures. I don't talk about my day or express my thoughts every hour or even upload pictures of a child to where you can make a flip book. Nor do I check in to places so people can come stalk me.
I use MFP for healthy food, track my calories and exercise, and to gain and give some support for whoever may need it.
Two different worlds for me.0 -

for me it's twitter>mfp>facebook0

I like MFP better for the reasons Mercenary1914 states above, but I DON'T like when it gets too randomly off topic - or when I add a friend who I don't know in real life and I find out they use MFP like Twitter and fill up 8 out of 10 posts in my news feed posting statuses about every random thing in their social life. I just end up deleting them a few days later...0

I feel the same way...Thought it was only Me. Seems that I have MORE in common here. And for some reason, I do NOT trust Facebook, they want to know too much personal info, NOR do I trust the Creator of Facebook, I don't see him as honorable, I think he'd sell anything for a buck.0 -

True
I have begun to spend less and less time on FB and more and more time on MFP. Of course it helps that MFP isn't blocked at work...at least not yet...0 -
I have both and love MFP more.. mainly because it keeps me focused more on fitness than fb ever could lol. Love the friends I have here and they actually show interest in what I'm doing to make my life better and healthier.. fb they prob don't care what I do lol.0

I am not a fan of FB - Status update - just eating my toast.
MFP - I still hear about the toast BUT in the proper context(diary) & they have moved from the sofa & exercised
