My favorite:
2 cups baby spinach (sub with 1c spinach, 1c kale quite often)
1 frozen banana
1-2 whole kiwi's (chop off the ends but keep the skin on)
1/2 avocado
1 cup water
Blend in a Blendtec or Vitamix, and it is DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! (It can work in other blenders, but the two listed are the best at breaking down the spinach and kiwi skin - velvety smooth!!!!!!)
Sometimes I will sub the kiwi for a peach, depending on what I have. I use berries sometimes too...
I love avocado in mine too! I covet the Vitamix...my #1 dream purchase (or gift! ) at the moment!0 -
I cup plain greek yogurt
Splash of orange juice
assorted frozen berries
The greek yogurt makes it so smooth and delicious!0 -
GREEN SMOOTHIES! Fruit only smoothies are like candy treats ! LOL
1 Banana
3 cups Organic Spinach
2 cups Organic Kale or Beet Tops or Carrot Tops
1/2 C Organic Blueberries
1/2 C Organic Raspberries
Chia seed
Flaxseed
Nutritional Yeast
Filtered WATER (if I need electrolytes- Zico Coconut water)0 -
My go to is banana, mixed berries, and plain greek yogurt. I freeze the banana and the berries come frozen. That with the greek yogurt makes a nice thick creamy smoothie.
I add cocoa powder for a treat.
I'll also add whatever fruit i have on hand, and 9 out of 10 times it turns out really well.0 -
1/2 frozen banana
1 TBS peanut butter
1 C almond milk
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
ice
..so delicious!
Mine is very similar indeed. I use the whole banana instead of half and skip the peanut butter. The vanilla powder I use lends the smoothie an almost coconut-y flavor. If I'm cutting calories I may also use a half-cup almond milk and fill it up the rest of the way with water. If I'm not cutting calories I sometimes add frozen berries. I've seen peanut butter used before this in a similar recipe. I've decided I have to try it!0 -

1 Cup Coconut Milk
1 banana
And then 1/2 cup of any two of the following: peaches, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple.
Recently I started adding a spoonful of vanilla rice protein powder. Add water if too thick. Makes enough for 2 servings at around 150-200 calories per serving, depending on which fruits and whether or not you add the protein powder.

i had this this morning and it's literally the best thing...
1.5 cups chopped and frozen cantaloupe
1/4 banana, frozen as well
a little less than 1/2 cup of almond milk
water for desired consistency (i used a bit less than 1/2 cup, and only added enough to blend properly)
it's amazing!!!!
oh, and to thaw the cantaloupe so it'll blend right, run the plastic bag it's in under warm water and it will break apart.0
