Anyone wanna join? 30 Day Shred Today!

Hey everyone, I'm currently in a weight loss competition that started 4 weeks ago, for the first 4 weeks I have done circuit training 3x a week for 60 minutes at the gym with my coaches and jogging/elliptical trainer 3 x a week with a low carb high protein diet. I have lost 13 pounds since 5.21.12 and am to weigh in today (which I think I have at least a 3lb weight loss, yay!). Anyway, since this is the start of the 2nd month I decided to incorporate 30 Day Shred every day with my current routine, if any of you wanna start today also we could check back here daily and give tips/support./motivation. I finished day 1 this morning. Thanks!!

    What is a 30 day shred?? I would like to do it but need to know what you suppose to do to be in it.. HELP

    Jillian Michaels workout video, you can look it up on youtube if you don't have the dvd, you need 3 and 5lb hand weights at least, 8 and ten if you're more comfortable.

    I only have 7lb weights here... I think I could use them because a lot of these exercises are the same as the ones I do at the bootcamp at the Y...and I use 7.5 there. eeep! I think I could totally do this!

    I actually started it yesterday and omg I'm definitely feeling it today. Especially in my thighs and calves.

    Sounds perfect! I'm going to go buy some weights today. My 30DS dvd is still in the wrapper since I bought it 2 weeks ago. This is EXACTLY what I need to get motivated!!! I'm so excited you're doing this too!! Before and after pictures would be a very good idea...okay, I'm officially excited..and about to head to Walmart or Target one for my hand weights. YAY!

    I started it today too. I even found Level 1 tough going but hopefully that gets better with each day. Better body here we come!

    Heck yes guys, get PUMPED!! It's gonna be hard, BUT it's only 20 minutes. That's it, 20 minutes every day, push yourself and get it done just for 30 days, we got this!

    I started it in April, then 15 days later my life exploded everywhere and I slacked off. connecting with some people on this would be SUPER helpful for me! I'm gonna take pictures/measurements and do Level 1 when I get home today!

    I'm about to finish my second round of this program... cannot emphasize how awesome it has been... so def give it a try! I used 5lb weights and the results I've seen are amazing in terms of muscle toning!

  • I'm in! I started it 8 days ago and am anxiously awaiting the completion to see some results! The first few days were ROUGH but my legs are finally starting to worth through the pain of those first days!! Let's get this! :happy:
  • I'll join you all! I am in a wedding in just over a month, and the DVD has been collecting dust since I discovered Zumba. Adding it to my regular workouts sounds like exactly what I need.

    Hi everyone, I'll join in..but I've already been doing the 30DS for 7 days now. Since starting on 6/11/12, I have lost 2.8 lbs. and 0.75 inches off my arms, 0.50 inches off my legs, and 0.50 inches off my waist. I know that may not seem a lot, but I am very proud of myself for committing to the daily workout; also, I have been feeling much energetic and stronger these dasys. Along with my daily 30DS workout, I am also eating healthy as well as walking 30 minutes daily. My goal is to lose at least 20 pounds total after completing the shred. However, my weight lost is not going as fast as I had hope even though I have not skipped a single day of doing the shred or eating healthy. So, I may need to change the way I eat again. Anyway got any tips on what kind of diet is best with the 30DS workout?
  • I, too, would love to hear any diet suggestions. I've not lost any weight in my 8 days on the shred either and have been trying to eat as well as I can. :)

    Started it yesterday. I run a lot so my legs don't really hurt much but man, my arms are sore! I have no upper body strength so this is going to really helps. Oh, and i have also been doing some research on the shred. According to many, they didn't start seeing weight loss till the last level. A lot even saw weight gain the first few weeks due to muscle gain and water retention. So if the scale goes up, don't worry! just keep an eye on those measurments!

    To you guys that asked about diet, I've been eating natural foods for the most part, with my processed foods being one serving of cheese, 1 serving of coconut milk for my protein shakes and my protein powder. I eat romaine lettuce, egg whites, almonds, raspberries or strawberries, broccoli and lean meats like chicken and tuna. It was boring and redundant at first, but now it's just another day, so much easier now. I'm so glad you all want to take part in this, I can't wait to see all of our results at day 30!!

    I also drink 100 ounces of water a day, I really believe this has a lot to do with my success. Give it a try, girls!

    I did day 1 today and it was rough! I'm also doing couch to 5k, so tomorrow should be interesting as it's a running day! I've already got noodles legs!
