Now I am trying to get past the guilt, because I have been SUPER strict these past three weeks.

    Hmmm

What did it taste like? Describe it in detail please!! Don't leave anything out! You are my hero! No, seriously it's no big deal, you were able to stop at 1, that is an accomplishment!

    Food Porn.

Oh dear......I love listening to the foreplay......lol

LOL, I like what someone else said "It's a doughnut, you didn't run over a freaking toddler, just let it go"

I know small slip-ups feel big when you're being so strict on yourself, but really, just relax. This isn't about being perfect, it's about being better overall. A doughnut has VERY little effect on anything you've accomplished. Just keep going, and don't be so hard on yourself.

In all seriousness, this is a program, not a death sentence--don't deprive yourself if you want your weight loss to be a LIFESTYLE change. One doughnut won't hurt your success in the long run. Keep up the good work, but don't be afraid to enjoy the treats or the ride sometimes.

I think you should go cry yourself to sleep now! You obviously undid all of your hard work over the last 3 weeks with that ONE doughnut?

This is a lifestyle change, not a diet! Sometimes, we eat donuts. It's okay to treat yourself sometimes, because there's no way you're going to be able to keep the weight off if you're super strict on yourself to get the weight off.

Okay, you ate a donut. We're all human and sometimes we give into our cravings. Just keep your eye on your goal and don't let a munchie moment distract you. I just got back from an out of town Father's Day weekend and got off track. But, today I'm back on. Don't sweat the small stuff! Maybe next time you'll have only 1/2 a donut! You're fine.

Giiiirl for father's day I went out and my pasta was 2000 calories! Luckily I only ate a little less than half but still. Holy crap! But I didn't gain 5 pounds and all those carbs helped me push really hard in my workout today! Don't sweat the small stuff

Allow yourself the occasional little treats and learn to stop at one each time.

This will go a long way in preventing the big binges.

It's a doughnut. I hope you enjoyed every bite and it was a good doughnut.

    Me, I don't eat doughnuts.

When I really gave myself permission to enjoy a doughnut...it turned out I don't like them.

But when I have ice cream? Or I share a molten chocolate lava cake a la mode with my daughter? Or I go to the pastry shop in town and get a croissant?

    I. Enjoy. Every. Bite.

The stuff I've discovered I don't like when I really allow myself to taste it? I don't eat it any more. Life's too short, and there are too many other good things to enjoy when the time comes.

Be nice to yourself. This is the only ride we're going to get.

MMm I love doughnuts. What kind? I can't find a Long John in the south to save my life! Someone needs to mail me one. Glazed with chocolate icing please.

P.S. I ate 6 Rocher Balls today. I still have enough calories for dinner.

This is good to read! I went out to dinner for my Dad's birthday tonight and the little dessert at the end was 700 calories, by itself! I did fine with the dinner and appetizer, still in my calories, had 200 left, but wow, that dessert blew it out of the water. And sure, it was good, but it wasn't 700 calories' worth of good. I've been trying to remind myself that it's a birthday thing and to not feel badly about it, but it was really good to hear it indirectly from all of you as well. :)

ENJOY C'MON IT IS A DONUT HUN! I am sure you can enjoy what you like everyday or in moderation.

For me it took time to control cravings but my cravings got stronger and then I binge and have self pity and all that emotional roller coaster after eating 'bad food'

    I just ate a BLT with a mini croissant . . .

I will put in my calories and go burn off what I am over and make sure I have the right amount of calories in my body for weightloss.

I have lost weight eating with balance, which is what I like and I like healthy and not so healthy foods.

NOW GO ENJOY YOUR WEIGHTLOSS JOURNEY GOOD LUCK !

I'm eating pizza as I read this. In fact, I've been eating horribly all day today. I'll probably have a little gain tomorrow, but no biggie. I've been doing pretty well, and eating horribly one day isn't going to make me gain back all 14 lbs I lost.

Today I had a biscuit that was 400 calories. Unfortunately, I didn't know that it was 400 calories until I'd already eaten it. That's actually more than a donut! I adjusted my dinner and ended the day 48 calories over. It will be fine, I promise!
