How often do you go to the gym

Anywhere from 4-6 days a week (rarely 6) then again im 16 lol0
-
Minimum 3 days. 30-45 minutes of weights and strength exercises and 30 minutes of cardio after, sometimes an hour if I'm not dead on my feet and sweating waterfalls.0
-
6 days per week, 60-90 minutes per session :-) I'm on a mission0

I go 4 times a week:
2x Zumba class
2x Cardio + weights.
However, being someone who has struggled with the gym, I think your first aim should be to go the 3x a week recommended by your trainer, just to get you into the habit of going (it usually takes 6 weeks to form a habit). Once you've managed the 3x a week, try adding 1-2 days and sticking with that.
I think it is important for you to find something that works for you. I cannot go to the gym every day, I actually find it demotivating, and it doesn't fit into my schedule. So I compromised: less days per week at the gym, slower rate of weight loss. But it's something I can stick to, and THAT is what is important.0 -
I go to the gym at least 3 days a week and I work out a minimum of 6 days a week
3 days a week mix cardio/weights
3 days a week cardio

The trainer said mimium 3 times, he's set me to do weights first then cardio
Ne help grateful
Thanks in adVance
Define "results."
I go 3x/ week for 30 minutes of HIIT cardio + weights (hi/low) plus two yoga classes and a Pilates session.
I started seeing "results" in the form of increased endurance and higher weight reps within 2 weeks. I started seeing "results" in how my body looked after 6 weeks.0 -
I go everyday. Workout twice a week with trainer for 60 minutes, and either swim or bike on the other days.0
-
I don't. I try to just do stuff outside at least 5-6 days a week. I generally go for a run, if not I will go inline skating, or biking once I fix my tire.
I have a gym in my condo and since my knee's are starting to act up from all my running I may switch it up to running every other day and swimming the other days. Just to keep the high impact exercising to a minimum. May as well use the pool if I have it. That's what the condo fee's are for.
There is also a small gym in there that I use during the winter, but generally the step machine or treadmill. I'm a big cardio person, I'm not big on weights. Plus I don't know how to properly use the weights!0 -
Day 1 – Gym – 25 minutes heavy lifting
20 minutes HIIT
10 minutes warm up/cool down
425 Calorie burn, give or take
Day 2 – Rest
Day 3 - 2-4 mile walk
250 Calorie burn, give or take
Repeat three day cycle0 -
Twice a week. I can't even make myself work out more often than that. You people are amazing.0

How often do you go to the gym
Never. Too poor to afford gym membership.
I do workout anywhere from 3-5 times a week at home though0 -
2xd a day 7x days a week. lift and cardio in the am and cardio at night for 5 days and 2 days of all cardio0
-
Depends- when the weather is great, I go 3x a week to lift and do cardio outdoors. When its winter, I go 5x a week!0
-
I workout at home, and I lift 4 days a week and do cardio 5-6 days. I also do pilates every single morning. If you are going to the gym, I would aim for four days a week. On the other days, you could choose light exercises like walking that don't require a trip to the gym.0

I try to go 4 nights a week when I can!!!! When I don't, I can usually feel it the following week! However, this week, I'm only going twice as I've too much going on with going to a gig and going on holiday at the weekend! There's things to be bought lol0
-
6x a week during off when I'm bulking. During my contest prep, everyday for 3 months. It might a little too much for others but I just love being in the gym.0

Hello. I don't go to the gym at all. I have found some amazing workouts that I do in the comfort of my own home. Yes it took some self discipline and dedication to do that, to keep myself motivated but the workouts are what did it. Once I started seeing results, and it really took one week, I wanted to push to do more. I have done TurboFire, Chalean Extreme and Insanity. All AWESOME workouts. I try to stick with the schedule that comes with the programs and workout between 5-6 days a week. If you'd like to find out more just let me know or you can check out my site www.beachbodycoach.com/meredithD. In terms of the 3 days a week, I would say that is a good start, especially if you are new to working out. Then after a bit of time you can build up.0

Gym usually 5 days a week and then 2 or 3 outdoor runs as well. Now that it is getting warmer out I am scaling back at the gym and going outside more.0

Never been to a gym in my life. I've only ran on a treadmill once in my life when I stayed at a hotel while on vacation.
I've only run outdoors and have a set of free weights upstairs. I've run 5ks, 8ks, 10ks, 2 half-marathons, 1 full-marathon and numerous other races like the Warrior Dash. Just started doing Jillian Michael's DVDs for core work.
I'm 5'11" and was 165 lbs and ran track in h.s. -- I'm 167 lbs or so now. 99% of it has been my diet. Eat right and plenty of water......oh and run, run, run.....0 -
Thank you all for the replies
I've decided to try 4 days gyming, that's a hour long n 1 day rest/recovery.
I would like to lose 20 odd pounds so hope this helps
I do 20 mins on. Bike, 10 mins on cross trainer n 20 on treadmill does this seem ok, n every two days I'll do weight as I have alot of jelly to tone0 -
6 days a week. At least 40 minutes elliptical and then some strength. Additional strength 4 days a week at home using kettlebell.0
-
4-5 times per week. Aerobics daily (when I get to go) and rotate Upper body/lower body weights... at least 2 upper and 2 lower each week. Works well for me at this point.0
