AN apple after or before every meal helps too0

Too much fiber, can also plug you up even more. I know when my mom would buy me and my brothers fiber bars it really did us no good..
I would say go natural:
eat plain oatmeal with honey
plain green tea with added honey
ACTIVIA YOGURT: It really works!
and yea change your diet a bit,
Cuz I was the exact same way as you and well now its becomming a lil regular not much, you may just have a sluggish metabolism..0 -
FREQUENCY OF BOWEL MOVEMENTS
"Bowel habits vary widely among healthy people. Some healthy people may have three bowel movements per week, while others may have three per day."
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/frequent-bowel-movements/my00786
CONSTIPATION OR INFREQUENT BOWEL MOVEMENTS
"What's considered normal frequency for bowel movements varies widely. In general, however, you're probably experiencing constipation if you pass fewer than three stools a week, and your stools are hard and dry.
Fortunately, most cases of constipation are temporary. Simple lifestyle changes, such as getting more exercise, drinking more fluids and eating a high-fiber diet, can go a long way toward alleviating constipation. Constipation may also be treated with over-the-counter laxatives.
Not having a bowel movement every day doesn't necessarily mean you're constipated. You likely have constipation, however, if you've had at least two of the following signs and symptoms for at least three of the past six months:
- Pass fewer than three stools a week
- Experience hard stools
- Strain excessively during bowel movements
- Experience a sense of rectal blockage
- Have a feeling of incomplete evacuation after having a bowel movement
- Need to use manual maneuvers to have a bowel movement, such as finger evacuation or manipulation of your lower abdomen
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/constipation/DS00063
FREQUENT BOWEL MOVEMENTS
"Frequency or pattern of your bowel movements may change over time. But if nothing else about your bowel movements is different — no loose, watery stools, abdominal cramping or bloody stool — the change is probably not a sign of any illness."
If you're having more bowel movements than usual, chances are you've made some change in your lifestyle. You may, for example, be:
- Eating more fruits, vegetables and whole grains, which increases fiber intake
- Getting regular exercise or increasing your exercise
- Drinking more water
If you've made lifestyle changes that can contribute to having more frequent bowel movements, and you have no other signs or symptoms, you're probably in good health. Make an appointment with your doctor, however, if you're experiencing:
- Changes in the consistency, volume or appearance of your bowel movements, such as repeatedly passing narrow, ribbon-like stools or loose, watery stools
- Abdominal pain
- Blood, mucus or pus in your feces"

Drink coffee.0

Haha everyone is different, but once of twice a day is about average. As long as it's not super hard to push out, or super hard to keep in I wouldn't worry!0
-
Everyone is different and there is no set number of poops. Some people poop once a day, some three times a day, while others only every two or three days.0
-
regular IMO is once a day
Eat fruit0 -
I just saw my GI doctor on Tues and he says that as long as you have a COMPLETE bowel movement when you go, then there is no need to go everyday. He says some people go three times a week and that is fine. The medical definition of constipation is less than two bowel movements a week, severe constipation is less than one per week. Everyone is different. Don't be alarmed if you don't go everyday and you are eating a healthy diet.
OAN the idea that toxins build up if you don't go everyday has so far not been medically proven.0 -
coffee and cigeretts, but after you quit smoking LOTS AND LOTS OF COFFEE, and bran0
-
I poop a couple times a day, every day.0

I stopped drinking soda (6 days now) and my "habits" have changed again!!!! Any thoughts on this?0

After each meal for me for the most part. If I eat a lot of meat, then sometimes not because it takes longer to digest.
Trader Joe's Green Plant Juice or Knudsen's Mega Green juice works like a charm for me. Not sure if it's the broccoli and spinach in the juice or the spirulina/chlorella, but it works almost as well as eating a few prunes.0 -
Posting in a poop thread! YES!
Fiber+water = poop. I have hemorrhoids from not doing it right. *kitten* still bleeds occasionally.0 -
my doctor says I am "irregularly regular" - meaning, 3x a week is good for me.
odd- because i have NO IDEA where it goes
i've tried everything and cant figure out how to become a "regular regular" --- if you find something that actually works, hit me up :drinker:0 -
POOP! Hahahahaha.
No seriously though. Everyone is different. As long as you poop at SOME point, and they DON'T hurt... Then I say you're fine. I poop eh.... USUALLY every day at around 1 or 2pm? And sometimes my body skips it? And sometimes it's a lot and sometimes it's just a little bit... eh... It's fine.
I'd say go by whether or not it HURTS when you poop to determine how healthy your poops are.
Hahaha.... poops.... hehe...0 -
Lemme tell ya... Mirilax WORKS!!!0
-
Ever since I had my daughte (2nd c-section) I am lucky to go once a week on my own.. I've literally had to take laxatives the past month to go, and thats with taking fiber supplements.. I'm definatly scheduling an appointment with my doctor.0
-
Out of everything... the one thing that helped me recently.. is sugar free candy.. instant poopsies0
-
Cook with pure coconut oil and it will be a natural relief.
But is it fatty?
yes....saturated fat. just like using lard.0 -
Flax seeds ones a day have helped me and husk fiber tablets twice a day.0
-
I normally get #3 at Burger King and that seems to do the trick.
lol jk.0 -
Ugh, my husband is SUPER regular lol, me and my son on the other hand...not so much But lately I have been getting pretty regular. I have some Kashi cereal (the honey, almond flax kind), I get 100% whole wheat bagel thins, for sandwices I use Multi Grain sandwich thins, eat spinach in salads and sandwichs instead of just regular lettuce...it's been working for me!0
-
I don't go NEARLY enough but I started eating bran flakes twice a day and making juice with lots of greens (spinach, broccoli, etc.) and for about a week now I have been managing to go at least everyday and sometimes twice.....Before then I would go like once a week. lol I went to the doc a few years ago and he did an upper GI and they said I was severely constipated so I've been on and off eating bran flakes.0
