Here's my back piece. It's a variation of the celtic symbol for sisterhood. My sister and I are very close. She's been through a lot of crap, so this was my way to honor her and our relationship. This was taken 3 years ago, so I'm a bit chubby in this pic ;-)

I'm still plain vanilla, but my wife just had her first tattoo done.
The three roses represent her great grandmother, grandmother, and mother. She's the fairy butterfly, and if you look closely on her finger, you can see our daughter who miscarried represented by a smaller butterfly.
She wanted it to mean something.

Here are a couple!
This is my main tattoo that stretches from my right shoulder down to my left thigh. Since turning 18 I have had many bits added, edited etc to finally create this. Although unfinished, this image gives a good, clear idea of how it will end up. The part on the upper right shoulder (vines, hibiscus and emerald swallowtail butterfly) are the newest parts to this tattoo, and the same pattern will be applied to the rest of the tattoo to make it more feminine and cleaner. This will involve all of the older vines being curled further and added too. Each addition was added for occasions or moments in my life that caused a big effect or meant something, for example, the green emerald butterfly was added as a reminder of my 21st birthday spent with Kieron that involved a visit to the butterfly farm.
This tattoo is a close favourite. I am in love with hummingbirds and butterflies, and this feather containing a hummingbird just was perfect. This was another gift from my boyfriend, and is on my forearm. The one on my wrist, also in this image was the first tattoo my boyfriend bought me on my first birthday spent with him! Anyway, the hummingbird is absolutely tiny, 2 inches max, and being a huge fan of smaller things, this was perfect. The detail is absolutely amazing and the two tattoos have so much meaning. These two were done by different tattooists, the feather being my current tattooist.
Boy, I like these a lot! Your major back piece is great, and I have a feeling it will never be "done" ;-) The curvy, swirly lines appeal to me very much in tattoo work, probably because they follow the line of the body so nicely. The feather is fantastic, unique, and very well done! And I love the little one on your wrist. A perfect bday gift 0 -

The rest (as you can see, I need a few touch ups. And that ying yang at the bottom is a regret - getting it covered at some point);
The deoxyribonucleic acid and birds are on my chest and shoulder;
Eunoia and the paw are on my wrists. Ying yang on ankle.
Me being silly and colouring in my birds. Haha.

My rose band tattoo my first one!
My Tiger which i kept from a temporary tattoo kit i had when i was 14 as i knew i wanted it for real and above the Chinese symbol for tiger as i love tigers! The pic is a bit blurred as zoomed in and cropped lol
And finally my heart on my wrist.. Just because..
I'm currently getting a rose tattoo designed for my thigh (when i lose a few more pounds) and will be getting another rose above my band.. I also plan to have a chest one (below my bra not actually on my bust) but that's a long way off yet..0 -

This was supposed to be "Dream" but the horrible tattoo artist put it on backward so now it doesn't mean anything:/ Eventually I'll have it covered by something else meaningful.

Tigerlilies for my daughter, whose name is Elizabeth but we call her Lily for short.
I drew this bird for my sister, but it wasn't her style so I kept it for myself. A year after her sudden death, I had it tattooed in her memory.0 -

Its big... Im lazy so deal with it. this is my left arm (The newest - taken right after it was finished)
this is a few years old, an this picture was taken about 30 mins after it was done - I do not have recent pics of it. my left shoulder blade (she was my second tattoo)
This one is on my right collar bone - the heart actually says mom in it, and it is easy to read... but not easy to photograph.
I don't have pictures of my others but my feet are done the right one says "some days just look" and the left says "better upside down"
My right wrist (inside) has a lotus with the numbers 010105 under it - my nieces birthday.
My right forearm has my nieces hand print from when she was about 3 - with her first name under it in her handwriting under it.
My left forearm has my nieces other hand print from when she was about 3 - with her middle name in her handwriting under it.0 -
I got this one the day after a turned 18. It's a popular feminist symbol. I have it on my neck (my spine) to remind myself to stand up for what is right and just, and be strong in what I do.
I got this one about a week later, it's a tribute to Prince Edward Island which is where my family is from and where I have the fondest memories growing up. I have always felt great comfort in water and the ocean. This is so no matter where I am, I will always have my foot in the ocean.
