Question??? I am new to the site, I understand that I have a calorie goal each day but when i excercise mt net calories for the day to eat increases...
Am I supposed to get my calorie goal down to zero(eat more) or just stay under the original goal?
Please advise..0 -
Inspiring, that is awesome0

That is so great to hear. I just started using this a couple days ago and my goal is to get back into size 8 jeans. I am 170 now and my goal is to lose about 30-35 lbs. I'll be 50 in October and am hoping to be in those 8's.0

Hello - just started today.. Bestie said try... Just meeting a calorie count confusses me... When I look at the food I have eaten which is pretty good food.. the pie breakdown ....I'm blown away by the breakdown of carbs verses protien... Mostly from coffe creamer.... I guess.. Gonna switch to sugar free tomorrow:) . So how does it work... Is it really based on calories only.0

Well good for you, and congratulations. Good to know that I'm not too old to change habits and lose weight (I'm 44 and pretty unhealthy for several years). You look terific, and congrats on the size 8!!! Great inspiration, thanks.0

So happy for you. I'm trying for 100lbs in the long run but I'll be happy with 50 right now thanks for the great motivation.0

I just wanted to encourage all of you that MFP really works. I started about 14 months ago and have lost 107 pounds. I am 20 pounds from my goal! Went from size 26 jeans to a 10. My biggest goal was to overcome diabetes. Which I have. If you understand A1-C numbers... I started at 12.9. My number is now 5.2 and I am off all medications. That was my biggest motivator. Just stay committed and honest about what you put in your mouth and MFP will help with the rest. Keep up the good work, all of you who are trying so hard! It is worth it!0

Congratulations! That is so motivating. I will be 50 later this year and my goal is to get back into those size 8's. I started using myfitnesspal at the beginnning of January and it has helped so much in recording what I eat and drink. The days I go over my calorie count for the day makes me a little discouraged, but I'm staying with it. I have lost 8 lbs so far and want to lose 20 more pounds.0

I hit my goal today as well. I started on December 1st weighing 209 and lost 45 down to 165. I feel great! The only down side is how much I have spent on new clothes.....not really. I haven't been at this weight since I graduated Marine Corps boot camp 24 years ago!0

So FANTASTIC!!! So proud of you!!!0

I am 57 years old. Several years ago, I lost 30 pounds on WW. However, maintenance lasted maybe a year and I have struggled since. I just started MFP on Friday and all the blogging is so encouraging. I'm hoping that since you hit your goal in 2008, that you have maintained. You are AWESOME!0

I'm inspired by reading all of your posts! Joining MFP today and will try to stick with it. My issues (excuses) are that I have 3 small children and work full time. I need the willpower to steer clear of the cadbury eggs this weekend. Really, how does Kate Moss do it?0

Congratulations. I am excited about reaching my goal as well. I have about 20 more pounds to go.0

I must be doing something wrong... Been doing it for about a month n only lost three pounds. Plz help me out.0

I am 57. I have tried every diet in the world and spent lots of money doing it. This is the greatest thing I've found. Lost 8 lbs in two weeks. I find it encouraging to see the "this is what you will weigh in five weeks"" . For those of you discouraged hang in there. You will lose it if you follow the calorie suggestions. . I eat a lot of lean cuisine because I am a nurse and work 12hrs. I try to stick to things that I know the calories or can scan it. This is the best app. I love it!!:drinker:0
