What's your resting heart rate?

55-60 bpm the last time I checked. However, I am due to check it again soon. From what I understand, my method for checking is rather unscientific, I just look at the HRM just as I am about to set out for a workout and it usually reads 55-60 bpm. You are supposed to check it after sitting still and doing nothing for 5 minutes (which is hard to do with two active kids, lol). I want to check it soon because I really should readjust my HRM so that I am getting more accurate burn measurements. I could also use the number to more accurately calculate TDEE.0

62 and that's down from the high 80's.
Being fit changes everything.0 -
The last couple times I've checked my RHR has been around 100bpm and my BP has been 138/80...One of the big reasons behind my big push to lose weight...I refuse to be put on BP meds!0

Was in the 70s, was 57 last week. I am THRILLED!0

Mine used to hover around the 140s before exercise, then when I would work out I felt dizzy and light headed. My HR was going over 200. I went to my doctor who put me on a beta blocker and now resting it is around 60-85, when I work out it gets around 130. MUCH better.0

When I smoked 2 packs a day, it was 68 bpm and blood pressure 120/80. Now, a year after quitting and losing 76 lbs, it's 52 bpm and the blood pressure is 100/65. I asked the doc if I was even clinically alive, lol.0

Mine is usually between 90 and 110. Maybe lower now, it's been a while since I measured.0
-
Mine stays around 50 and my blood pressure always on the very low end of normal. I have problems with fainting sometimes when I bump my funny bone or something like that. Other than that I am fine.0

Upper 40s ... I run several times a week...0

Mine runs between 45-55. At my last Doctor's appointment it was 48; I said to my Doctor, "That's awfully low, isn't it?" She said, "No, just a sign of a strong healthy heart." COOL!0
-
It has always been lower than most peopl I knew, 60 but now, after running for six months and becoming more fit it has gotten even lower, it is between 45-48.0

55. It was always at least 70 until I started running and dropped a few pounds starting a couple months ago. I'm surprised how quickly it changed.0
-
Been 60 every day since the day I was born. Doesn't matter if I'm running every day or fattening up on Wendys and KFC, it just loves to hum along at 60. Blood pressure has always been 80/120 as well. Never changes.0
