You weigh more and are shorter in the evening than you were in the morning and your weight can fluctuate 2 to 5 pounds everyday. It's normal.
Shorter?
Yes, you actually DO get shorter as the day goes on. I mean, you won't shrink by a foot, but more like an inch or so.
So if you stay up for several nights in a row will you condense down to a dense ball like a dying star?
I guess I could buy you might stoop a little but actually lose height? How?
The longer you stand upright, the more your spine compresses. I doubt it's an inch a day, but a fraction there of, YES.
OK, you convinced me. Shorter. And heavier. The world is a cruel place.0 -
Save yourself a lot of stress and get on the scales no more than once a week (same time every week).0
-
If it is a digital scale, check if your lithium battery is low because you may need to change it. It affects readings.0
-
Weighing yourself twice a day is not only unnecessary, but seems a bit unhealthy.0
-
lol its food and fluids.0
-
Water weight. It's normal.0

Let's be honest, I just enjoy using the word obtuse.
I would think you would have plenty of opportunities around here . . .0 -
Do yourself and everyone around you a favor. Either have someone hide your scale and let you use it once a week or throw the damn thing away.0

Is this supposed to happen? I weigh myself in the morning and I'm 119/118 and when I weigh myself in the afternoon i'm 5 pounds heavier?? This scares me..
Weight absolutely varies, day to day, hour to hour, 16ounces of water is a pound of weight, everything you consume weighs something until it is properly digested. Don't let the scale fool u!0 -
Yeah, only weight yourself in the morning, after you've gone to the bathroom, completely naked. This allows your food to digest and be used so it's the most accurate time0
-
Really?? Two of these in a row.0
-
I saw this and thought you were talking about the temp...:noway:0

Water is 8 lbs a gallon. Drink a couple quarts and boom, 4 lbs.0
-
yeah i shrink really bad after swimming
I just choked!!!!0 -
are you serious? everything you eat and drink weighs something, it just doesn't disappear when you swallow it.

sorry that made me chuckle. :drinker:0 -
That's happened to me plenty! Don't worry! You're good. It's just water weight. Now... if you're in weight watchers and your team leader is a **** like mine was, skip your meeting until you can get an early morning one (when you weigh less), cuz my meetings were @ 7:30pm and my (very overweight) team leader was nice enough to tell me I wasn't following the program and needed extra help!0

Did you eat and drink?
Water weighs 8 lbs per gallon. 8 cups (64 oz) is 1/2 gallon = 4 lbs.
Weigh yourself at a consistent time of day for the most accurate tracking. For me that is right after my morning shower and BM if I have the need. Weighing more than once a day is a bad idea. Weighing everyday will show your body weight is constantly changing by small amounts. Weighing once or twice a week is more than adequate for healthy weight tracking purposes.0 -
yeah i shrink really bad after swimming
only if the pool is cold haha0 -
Absolutely normal. It's why I weigh myself in the mornings!0
