Hi everyone,
I'm 3 weeks in, so I'm still a relative newbie, and I'm definitely looking to add some friends. Really, I'll add anyone who is a daily user looking for support, but I am hoping to find some folks that are over 40, with 40 or more lbs to lose on their journey.
I'm 47. My starting weight was 180.2, my current weight is 170.8, my goal weight 130-135. I eat and exercise, and its working!

All above and those to come, I'm 57 and log daily, I'm at goal weight (have lost 97 as of a week ago) Happy to share my diary and exercise plan. Just send me a note with the FR, just a word of caution though, I'm a retired Soldier, a Former Army Master Fitness Trainer, so my motivational advice is sometimes frank and direct, and i do not suffer wining or excuses well.0

Hi Denise, My name is Maureen and I am new also. I just started using MFP yesterday. I am 45 years old and I am a yo yo dieter. I just recently gained 40lbs. of my 70lb weight loss. I am so mad at myself and I understand now how truly hard it is to lose weight. I used to be able to drop weight fast and now that I am in my 40's I see it coming off painfully slow. I never want to be in this position again! I want to lose the weight and KEEP IT OFF FOREVER!!! I am truly motivated this time, but like I said it is slow going. My current weight is 208 and I have been excercising and dieting for an entire week and not a pound dropped. I too could use a friend to help me keep going.0

Hello, everyone! My name is Anna and I am a newbie struggling to loose weight. I am 46 and have bad knees so cant do as much as I wish could. Struggling with diet-how much to eat....what are healthy options....trying to cut my sodium and it is hard. I need support as weight doesn't come off easily and if one more person tells me loosing 10 pounds is easy I may scream! Need friends and support0

Hi! I am over 40 and have lost nearly 24 lbs on MFP since I started journaling my food here in April. Have about 30 more to go. Decided it was time to get some friends so feel free to add me (I can't get MFP and my lame tablet to work together on a pic but I assure you I am a real person. ;-))0

Hi I am a newbi just started yesterday. I am 44 and need to change my life. All four of my sons are 18 or older and I am starting the empty nest in August. So its time for me. I went over today in my protein but not on anything else. Is that real bad to go over in the protein?0

Great job on your wt. loss that is awesome.....0

Hi Denise--another over 40yo happy to join you in the journey. I've been doing this for a few months now and the progress has been slow, but I appreciate the accountability. Hoping to lose 30-40 pounds overall--will be happy with 10-15 by year's end.0

I'm finally caught up on friend requests! Thanks everyone!0

I am 41 and have lost 52 pounds in the last year. I switched from a different calorie tracking program to myfitnesspal and it is easier to track. I am turning 42 in two weeks and wanted to lose 4 - 6 more pounds by then for my birthday, but it looks like that isn't going to happen. I am trying to stay positive and have been working out 2 times a day, but I HAVE to realize that at this age, and this weight, things are going to go more slowly, but I have to keep that from sabotaging my hard work. I can't believe you have lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks, that is great!0
