    21st Birthday what did you do????

    Alright guys I am turning 21 in a month Woot Woot!! :drinker:
    Honestly im more excited about just being able to get in anywhere than i am about drinking lol

    But i wanted to hear some stories about what you guys did on your 21st birthdays?? :tongue:

      My friends had my try drinking beer to see if they could get me drunk. But i never liked the taste of any alcohol that they failed.

      Still to this day and I am 33, I cannot consume anything that I can smell or taste alcohol in it. Either food or drink.

      I was in college. My friends took me to our local bar we went to a lot. They had a birthday special where I drank for free!! One friend made sure there was a drink in my hand at all times, so I have NO IDEA how much I drank.

      The next day was HARD!

      it was a typical 21st celebration, but so much fun!

      My bday is July 3rd, so it's always just been thrown in with independence day. There's a parade that starts at my parents house. For my 21st there was just more people there and I got drunk.

      No idea actually! Had a bunch of marker lines on my arm though that added up to 24. Assume that was the number of shots!

      I went clubbing with my friends :).
      That being said, I'm in Canada and we only need to be 19 to get in anywhere. My 19th bday was lame because my then-bf did not want to go out clubbing or anything.
      For my 20 and 21 though, partied all weekend :D

      I turn 21 on July 27th. I'm going to Myrtle Beach with a few friends to have margaritas on the beach. :smile:

      My stepfather's retirement from the Navy came the same day as my 21st birthday. Allllll my family was in town for it. So that's what I did. I didn't have any real friends then or drink so it worked out. lol I was a loner and living in a new area. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

      My parents took me on a 24 hour trip to a casino in Nevada. Got on a plane at 10 am, gambled/ate/drank for 18 hours and got home at 10 am the next day. If I remember right the round trip flight cost $20.00, but you had to show at least $500.00 cash per person before you got on the plane. I left with the $500.00 and came home with $1200.00! This was 28 years ago....wish you could still get trips like that.

      Just went out to dinner with family and friends, actually.

      But being able to drink legally wasn't that big of a deal for me, since I'd been drinking illegally for yeeeears. :laugh:

      But I'm not a huge bar and/or club person either. I prefer hanging out with friends at home and having fun. Cheaper too. ;D

      Went on a pub crawl with two of my best male friends, ended up at our favourite rock club where I met up with some female friends too - danced all night, played find and fetch the ice cube (LOL!). I got rat arsed on a few black russians, a few bottles of newcastle brown, and numerous tia maria and cokes which unbeknown to me at the time were triples and there was at least three of those that I drank from what I remember.

      Apparently, after I hit the triple maria and cokes - I had my second one, turned very pale and ran to the bathroom! Came back and carried on drinking and dancing the night away. Tried staggering home, Ian ended up giving me a piggy back ride back to his. He cooked Tuna Pasta Bake, ate that and fell asleep on the couch.

      And no.....nothing happened in that sort of way with my best mate Ian. Lol! :laugh:

      Don't really remember because it was so long ago, but I was already married and had a one year old at that time so probably didn't do anything. I quit drinking & partying after my daughter was born but legal age there was 18 and I had had my fill of it by then anyways.

      Got surprised with an awesome party, went on a bike ride in the rain on a winding mountain road with some friends, discovered a new place to eat tucked away into the forest, got drunk, rode back, got locked out of my dorm (girls's dorms have night time limits in India), crashed at a friend's apartment, got drunk again and woke up to a beautiful Sunday and did it all over again! :P

      I was also excited about being able to get into places...so I went out at midnight of my 21st and was p***ed off because I went to two bars and NOBODY CARDED ME!!!! Isn't that half of the point in going out for your 21st!?!?'

      I then took 15 shots before closing (which I had an hour and a half for my festivities and it was middle of the summer in a small college town so no one was out to buy me drinks :( ), went home and apparently slept in the bathroom floor...I dont remember it. Spent the day renewing my military id and drivers license and studying for my algebra final which was an online summer class.

      I went to some bars up at school. Started at 6:00 PM with a beer and tequila, and one of those novelty shots. Then went to another bar and had way too much to drink...then another bar where I went crazy. At 10:00 PM, I puked in a flower pot and went home.

      Not the best thing to do I turned 21 before my other 5 girlfriends. So I took 21 shots on my bday and started the "tradition" were all in are 30's now and yes that was a dumb azz thing to do.:drinker:

      I had a hen night and got married the next day :D But it wasn't mad, we had chinese, lots of games and laughs...and alcohol for those that drank...perfect!

      If I remember correctly, I didnt do much. I just got some sushi with my bf (now husband)..I didnt even have one drink!
