How do you like your eggs?

Happy to eat a hard boiled egg ( Right now it's just a weekly treat for me - as I have high cholesterol) but love scrambled, fried and omlettes. Also love the indian way called Anda ( which is egg) Bhurji.
Here's a recipe if you are interested....

I have 3-4 egg whites in the morning, I love cooking them with 1/2 chicken apple sausage cut up from Trader Joes...Yumm!!0

I like eggs just about anyway except with peppers or salsa. Peppers hate me.LOL One quick way without added fat is microwave 2 eggs for about 30 sec. check, scramble, add cheese if you are so inclined and then microwave until your consistency is reached. It may take a few checks because it might get rubbery if cooked too long. I put it in an Arnold's sandwich thin. I don't like my eggs done"hard". I don't need any butter for the bread or for the cooking.0

I like them scrambled and still a bit wet/"squishy". I might sprinkle them with a bit of cheese and use them as toppings on vegetable crackers.0
-
Oops! Scrramble before you microwave the first time too.0

OMG I LOVE EGGS...not just egg whites...the whole egg. I like them anyway...but my favorite at this particular moment is 2 scrambled on toast with mustard all over the top of the eggs. WOW SO GOOD!0

O and I just found a recipe the other week with sauteed onion, zucchini, squash and garlic then throw in your eggs...scramble them and put parmesan cheese on top. That was delish as well0

I have done this at work before because we don't have a stove. You don't have to scramble the egg if you don't want to. Just make sure you cover it because it will pop a lot while it cooks. If you don't scramble it, it is like a hard fried egg. If you put it on an english muffin, it's like an egg mcmuffin from mcdonalds lol0 -
I could eat eggs every day, and usually do! Haha
Here are a couple of my favorite ways to cook em up:
Scrambled (1 whole, or two whites):
I mix in veggies (usually just onions. Sometimes mushrooms)
Throw some cheese in there
Add a tbsp of canola mayo on a small tortilla, and roll it into a breakfast burrito
Comes out to 333cal
Omelette (1 whole + 2 whites)
I usually add loads of veggies;
zucchini, onions, mushrooms, green peppers
Sautée them up, add the eggs after
toss a tiny bit of Parmesan or Swiss cheese on top once it's flipped.
229cal
I was addicted to these breakfast sandwiches for awhile:
Toasted sourdough english muffin
A tbsp of canola mayo
1 fried egg white - I add black pepper and red pepper flakes
Half a slice of Swiss cheese
A slice of tomato
+ two slices of Oscar Mayer black forest ham. (the thin slices)
236cal
My new favorite is a sunny side up egg on a tosted english muffin. I sautée some crimini mushrooms and onions, and add some shredded cheese, and throw it in. Only 228cal. If you like runny eggs, it's delish! Messy, but drool worthy.
Sorry for the long post, with extra details. Just excited. I'm a huge egg fan. :]0 -
Omelette, sunny side up or boiled. Cannot stand scrambled.0
-
I like a tbsp or two of 2% cottage cheese scrambled in mine with some red pepper and spinach.0
-
Omelet with cheese. Sometimes I like a little ham or sausage thrown in..... Sometimes mushrooms....0

Um...I don't get it. Your husband likes messy eaters? O.o0 -
Egg beaters are my favs, but if all that's available are regular eggs, scrambled or over hard is fine too. I don't really like runny eggs or yolk at all (scarred for life thanks to my aunt who cooked garlic with a pinch of runny scrambled eggs whenever I was there).0

Egg whites. Onion. Peppers. Hot sauce.0

Bwahaha! Oh man.. This totally just made my day! :bigsmile:0 -
I like having scrambled eggs with smoked salmon sometimes, if I am out somewhere.
At home, I either have them in an omelette with potato, onion, garlic and salt, or I just have hard boiled.
I don't go for this eating egg whites only rubbish, most of the nutrition is in the yolk, as is the filling part for me personally, so I eat my eggs whole, both duck and chicken. It has not done me any harm.0 -
Over easy with a sprinkling of Mrs. Dash and lots of pepper.
Question for those of you who only use the egg whites; what do you do with the yolks? As a single mom, I hate to see food being wasted.0 -
Scrambled with a dash of milk in them nice and fluffy0

I was on a cooking magazine website today and saw a picture of how they cooked their eggs in a creative way. They took sliced pepper rings (a green, a red, a yellow) and cooked the egg inside the ring. Looked neat.
Otherwise I like hard boiled egg whites first thing in the morning, and then on alternate days I cook eggs in the microwave in a coffee cup (sprayed with oil) for 1.5 - 2 minutes. You have to make sure you really scramble the eggs or they blow up! Then I put them on a wheat English muffin with a slice of low fat cheese.0 -

I resolve to the fact that I throw the shells away because they're not good for me to eat (although I'm sure they're edible in some form), so I treat the yolks no different than the shell now. And since I looked at them that way, I've not had many regrets about tossing them.
I do eat whole eggs here and there, and I randomly give my yolks to the dogs.0 -
lot' of ways...
over easy
scrambled with a little cheese
an omellete with one whole egg and one egg white, with onions, peppers, mushrooms, black olives, cheese, ham.
hard-boiled as a snack0 -
...in the morning?
I like mine with a kiss! :bigsmile:0 -
As a single mom as well, I understand completely. I try not to feel bad about tossing yolks though. I feel like I'm not really wasting it, if I'm using the whites.. I'm using the egg either way, just not loading up on fat. Kind of like cutting the fatty pieces off meat, or tossing chicken skin?
Sometimes I'll buy Egg Beaters 100% egg whites. Which is a nice way to not waste the yolks if you feel bad about it. :]0 -
Pan fried until overdone and crispy all around the edges, slice of cheese on sammich. That or scrambled with peppers and onions with salsa on top are the only way I will eat them.0

I love poached and soft boiled eggs. Yummy! For instance a poached egg on top of an english muffin and boiled spinach is a great breakfast!
I also like omelettes, specially omelette with onion and aubergine
I like to add a raw egg in ratatouille and let it cook for a short while (sort of scrambled egg with ratatouille, but more ratatouille than egg). I love to have this for breakfast on top of a slice of bread.0
