Success stories from increasing fat intake

I consume 112g of fat or less 103g of protein and 10g of carbs or less per day ( 65/30/5 ratio respectively). Today marks week 2 of Keto. I've lost 10 lbs (7 in the first week). I definitely have more energy, sometimes too much. I don't feel tired after a meal, even when full. I've been told that my skin is softer. But the biggest difference is that I feel great.
Oh, I am happy to hear that someone is losing with a consumption of 112 g of fat or less! Yesterday marked the first day for me where I am trying to eat for the health of me - and my hypothryoidism - and with the addition of some sunflower seeds and 2 brazil nuts, my fat was up at 82!!! Today I am adding in coconut oil, and I am just finished lunch at 716 total (so far for the day) and already at 41 g of fat!

I'm doing paleo/primal - keeping dairy at the moment because of a medication that upsets my stomach without it. Otherwise, no grains, no sugar or other sweeteners, no legumes. All real fresh food.
I feel amazing! Weight's coming off, but more importantly to me at the moment, my energy levels are improving and staying consistent all day. I'm not hungry between meals, and for literally the first time in my life, I'm not hungry after dinner. Skin is soft, sleeping well - getting used to just feeling good. What a concept. I started tracking again recently so I can make sure I'm not wildly over my calories, but it seems to sort itself out without my micromanaging it. Yay!0 -

I am trying trying to eat as much unprocessed food as possible - this is all new territory for me, and I know I am straying a bit, as, but for the last two days (ONLY) I have not really felt hungry at all between meals, probably because of the increase in fat in my diet! Can it happen that quickly?? lol I'm pretty satiated right now and all I had was meat, avocado and tomato for dinner. Yum! oops, and cheese
I just had a question - why are legumes not considered real food? I suppose I should do some reading up on this.0 -
definite difference in my mood. low fat diets are literally depressing. your brain needs fatty acids to function properly.

Yes, if you are not insulin resistant, it can happen that quickly. Good for you! It happened right away for me too, which is probably the major motivation to my continuing.
Legumes: they are considered real food. But they're treated like grains because like grains, they also contain phytates, which bind to a lot of the good minerals you want and end up making them not as available to the body. IOW, the legumes end up being not-so-dense in micronutrients, and they irritate some people's stomachs, so they get classed with grains on most paleo plans. I personally am thrilled to not have to eat beans.
Sugar snap peas and snow peas are ON the plan, as are regular green beans, because the peas/seeds in all of those are young - you're basically eating them for the shell, and they're much lower in phytate.
