Ok, I'm in! Been trying to get back to exercise!
My Goal:
300 cals 4 days a week. (I'll check in a few times a week)
Sounds a little lame, I know but that's what fits into my life and that's what I was doing when I lost the first 20 lbs. 5 to go and here's to getting into the habit!:drinker: :drinker:
Keep on Keepin' on everyone!:happy:0 -
yay for the new people!
Today I burnt 550 cals!0 -
 I didn't get to the gym yesterday.....but my caloric intake was on point. So at least I was half good! Definitely today I am going to the gym.0

Thank goodness it's Thursday. I have completed my workout for today and am proud to say I burned a total of 547 calories in 75 minutes. I conquered the stairmaster and low bike for 20 minutes each and completed 35 minutes on the elliptical. Tomorrow is weigh in and measurement day for exercise boot camp, so, I'm hoping I see some type of results. I have been staying within my allotted calories and trying to eat alot of protein and fiber.
This weekend is going to be a huge challenge for me though. I have to travel to upstate NYC to assist a friend w/a 13-16 car trip. I haven't done a road trip like that since my college years but when driving for such long periods of time I tend to do a lot of snacking. I'm already thinking about some healthy alternatives if I have to snack but would love to have suggestions from any of you.
Thank in advance and have a great day.0 -
Day 1 of 7 - Week one 320 caloried in 30 minutes on the eliptical. It felt good to sweat!
It's a start!0 -
:indifferent: I didn't do mine last night. Kids were gone & so was DH so I layed my lazy butt on the couch & watched movies. :ohwell: I ate right though & it was my first night alone in a long time so I'm forgiving myself.
I'll get back on track tonight. Promise. :flowerforyou:0 -
Stiches Ow...t. Did 206 and no more. Wimp!0

The LAZY BUG bite me again!     :explode:
I am going to "30 day shred" when the kids movie is over... I noticed I have been super tired today and yesterday (I am SURE it was from LACK of exercise). I have had ZERO motivation for anything! ZERO! Although I did fold 5 loads of laundry last night and while the kids are watching their movie I'll finish folding socks (i hate folding socks) but it does make me feel better! Cleanliness and exercise might be a HUGE key to unlocking the ability to be happy with life again. Depression stinks!
So Today will be a new day 1!0 -
Happy Friday all,
I have great news to report. Today was the last day of my first exercise boot camp session and I did EXTREMELY well. I lost a total of 7 lbs, 2.5 % body fat and 7.5 total inches (chest, waist & hips). In addition to the weigh in/measurements we did a fit test. I was able to complete 40 push ups (on knees), 54 toe touches, 50 seated dips and 84 jumping jacks. We were given a minute to complete as many reps as possible. We will retest at the end of session two which is 12/18/09.
I was so inspired by my success that I went to the gym after boot camp and completed an hour of cardio and burned 522 calories. In addition to the cardio, I also did a little bit of strength training.
WHAT A GREAT WAY TO BEGIN THE WEEKEND!!!!!0 -
I only got to 350 cals yesterday before I couldn't do any more. I'm so disappointed in myself. I tried so hard.Oh well day 1 again.0

Still poking along at 200 a day looking forward to more next week. You are doing great Stef, a falter or fall is only a problem if you don't keep going. I know you can do this. Have a great weekend. Alice0

Happy Monday all. I had an alright weekend considering I had to go out of town and had little control over where I could eat. I made great food choices for myself on Saturday while eating at the casino restaurant. I opted for the asparagus and lump crab meat salad instead of all the fattening alternatives. Yesterday, my friend and I had a 16 hour drive back to Atlanta and overall I did alright. We ate at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and I opted for low fat yogurt w/granola, pineapple slices, 1 egg beater scrambled w/a 1/2 slice of American Cheese and 1 turkey sausage patty. For lunch I had 1/2 of a cranberry muffin and an apple and dinner I had a weight watcher meal. My problem occurred when I had to drive from Cincinnati to Tennessee (4 hours). I was exhausted from the whirlwind of a trip and my friend and I were both operating off very little sleep so I drank a 16 oz Coke and ate a box of Mike and Ike's so I could get a sugar and caffeine rush. While I hate that I consumed all those calories it did its job which was kept me awake and got my friend and I safely to Atlanta.
I went to exercise boot camp this morning and then headed to the gym where I burned 615 calories on the elliptical machine. I had to make myself feel less guilty about the drink and candy from yesterday. I am happy to announce that I am back on track.0 -
That sounds great! I'm very bad when I travel.
I haven't exercised since I posted that I failed. Tonight I'm starting again. My best friend is coming over tonight and I'll get back on track.
I have been doing well with calories I only went over on saturday when I went to see new moon.0 -
Starting with day ONE this week again... Didn't get to exercise on the week-end. Went horseback riding yesterday. Good for over 400 cals! So that makes 1/7 towards my 4/7 goal.
Today shopping for the Thanksgiving meal and then exercise and laundry! (Just sayin' it so I'll do it!)0 -
Hey! I haven't checked in in a couple of days, but with the exception of Friday & Saturday I've been getting my cals in. I'm taking Wednesday off as we'll have a ton of people in the house & me sweating my 500cal out while their there doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me.
Glad to see everybody doing so well :flowerforyou:0 -
ok - i'll join in on the challenge - today will be the first day doing this challenge and i will hit the gym during lunch0
