Hey guys use baking powder instead of baking soda... I did and mine turned out great!!! Also instead of flour you could use oats + protein powder!

Using baking powder instead of baking soda cuts back on the sodium.. had no idea baking soda had that much sodium lol

I was thinking of using oats and protein powder instead of flour and also baking powder

These look great! Will have to try them for breakfast for tomorrow.
Unfortunately I don't have baking soda but a few people have posted that they've used baking powder and that they've worked out fine, so I'll try them with that.

I've had these at least four times the past two weeks.

Today I tried them without baking powder to see if they would work. They were fine, just not as fluffy. I was fine with that! So I got the sodium down to mid 100 mg :)

Word of caution: I don't recommend baking them with sliced strawberries. The water from the strawberries makes it so the batter doesn't fully cook. They were kinda batter-y.

what do you cook them in?
does olive oil give it a weird taste? i can't use cooking spray cause they don't sell it where i live. and butter is high in calories so i've been wondering

Thanks, I'll try that too. I've been making these once a week and they ruin my sodium goal!

If you have a non stick Teflon type pan, you could do it without spray or butter; but if not just a sliver of margarine on medium temp will make them great. I've made them on both cast iron and non stick Teflon and they have turned our great. Good Luck

    Yummy!
I just made these and they were wonderful. Lovely, light and fluffy.
I halved the ingredients (I didn't have enough greek yoghurt) to make one large pancake and used baked powder instead of baking soda, and they turned out fine.
Will definitely make again. Thanks!
