I'm currently doing 1200 calories a day as well. My mom told me about eating mini meals so now I eat 5-6 200 calorie mini meals a day and it seems to be working pretty well.0

I'm confused. You use one number (1200) and range in the same sentence.....1200 isn't a range. A range is usually a value in between two numbers.0

Sure. STARVATION MODE.... does not exist the way this website says it does! It's basically there so MFP doesn't get sued. Do a little research on your own before you start spouting off myths as fact.

Totally agree, I'm not starving either, I actually found it difficult to find 1200 calories until I added things like peanut butter and snacks. Healthy food fills you up!0 -

Filler foods that are helping me get closer to my goal of 1,200/day calories (it's so hard!):
chobani with strawberries or blueberries - instant oatmeal packets - and green giant has a variety of seasoned vegetables in a little cardboard box that are really good! good luck all!0 -
I am 5` and have set my first goal at 27 lbs lost. I am a great cal. counter and am at 1320. But I have to add food every night to catch up. hi im 5ft 5in and want to lose 20lbs, i currently weigh in at 164lbs.
im on 1200 calories and im up and down, one day im over another im not eating enough. But if your running out of calories, add some exercise and it gives you extra cals to eat. If you cant get out of the house, there are soem good fitness chanells on sky etc.

Hi. I am 5'0. i need to loose 60 pounds, Im on 1200 calories and so far i have not been able to keep it at that. I did start doing Insanity yesterday so hopefully it will even out. I go over about 300-400 calories. I honestly dont know how many calories i burn with my workouts. wont know till i get a heart rate monitor0
