    I was asked at the last minute to stand in for a model that had canceled. Ended up getting a bit of work from it, too! I ended up being in a calendar and 2 more photo shoots!

    At 36 years old.

    My profile picture was taken in downtown Shanghai, China this past December. That was almost 20lbs ago. I did not realize how much weight I had gained until viewing my pictures when I returned home. As you can see, I was wearing a sweater to cover my belly bulge.

    I noticed heat damage on my hair after flat ironing two weeks ago. My hair is still very healthy, but the curls were looser. I went from 3b (ringlets), to more 3a (spiral curls). I was panicking, and wondering if I'd ruined my plans to grow my hair to hip length. Before deciding anything drastic, I decided to do an Aphogee treatment (protein) followed up with a deep condition.

    And the picture was the wonderful result after air drying for a few hours :-)

    By the way, I'm off heat. For the forseeable future.

    it is my new mantra to keep me going as I work my way down the ladder of my weigh loss. since I am doing strength training strong is the new skinny fits very well.


    I am ordering a shirt off Etsy with this sang on it. I LOVE it.
