    Yep! I had two red headed Grandmother...one was Scotch/ Irish and one was Latvian. ...I think the stereotype about red hair and a temper might have some truth to it. :happy: :bigsmile:

    I did NOT like being a freckly ginger when I was a kid, but as an adult, I love it. Love.... It. My mom is half Italian so I get a fabulous tan for a ginger, so I think that sets me apart a little bit. My youngest son is a redhead as well.

    I think we all have our self-loathing periods. My brother is super ginger, like orange hair and tons of freckles and its taken him quite a long time to get over being teased for it, I think. Little redheads get a lot of attention but it's not always good attention, that's for sure.

    well I am one of a different sort. My facial hair is what comes in red while the hair on my head is a dirty blondish to light brownish and my eye brows are blonde....lol. BUT I have the red facial hair so I think that counts?!!! I grew up always having a thing for redheads. Maybe it was always just that idea of them being feisty and wild. Regardless, redheads are right at the top of my books :)

    When I was younger, I was strawberry blonde, so sort of gingery. My dad was a ginger when he was young. My brother is a ginger. My youngest son is a ginger. My youngest granddaughter is a ginger. I LOVE gingers! We don't call them "ginger" in the US, but I love the name!

    I'm a red-headed gal. Used to hate it when I was young (it's awful how it's seen as acceptable to bully peeps with red hair)..but I LOVE my hair colour now. Get so many compliments on it, wouldn't change it for the world :)
