~21 July = 40 min; 6.7 miles
~53 miles total for this list.
*I am having major problems sitting on the seat for more than 20-30 minutes - and we already put a gel cover on it . . . any other thoughts/suggestions?0 -
Yesterday, in an effort to "work off" my fair food in advance, I did a 38 mile ride. (Longest yet.... almost to the half century!!!!)
Distance: 38 miles
Time 2 hours 39 minutes
Average speed: 14.3 MPH
Fueled by Gu gel and a couple Refreshers packets. I was a little worried... the first five miles I was miserable, wanted to go home, couldn't get into it. Not sure what happened, but it suddenly all fell together and the ride rocked.0 -
I know its near to the end of this challenge, but i have just dusted off my bike with the hope of it helping me lose the excess two stone I have gained since a running injury that has still not healed two years later. Please can i join i really need the motivation at the moment

260 miles on my newly purchased bike so far in July...the only month I've had it. It's awesome. Beats any cardio machine i can think of for avoiding boredom.0

Road bike ride with my husband this morning. 44 miles in 170 minutes. I struggled getting up some of the hills - my husband tells me: "The hills are your friend. They make you strong." It makes me laugh. (Better than crying, I suppose.)
Keep the rubber side down!

Oh, my, please don't cough up a lung!
I myself carry about 25% body fat and my husband has about 9%. My theory is that gravity increases for those of us with a greater percentage of body fat; I know I just get slower and slower ... and slooooower as the hill keeps going up and up and up!
I wish we could all share some of Thomas Voeckler's ability! King of the Mountains!0 -
