Hi, I've started back with my running and working on increasing my mileage per week. I've lost 50 pounds in the past year, about 18 since I started My fitnesspal and looking to lose about 20 more pounds.

I do strength training and run each week. I finished my first 5k in a long time last weekend. Please add me to your list looking for motivation and ideas from other runners.

Hi there.....I've been running for about a year. Completed a marathon and a half marathon.

Right now I'm running around 15 miles a week...still coming back from a sprain I suffered in the aforementioned half marathon LOL.

Training now for a Super Spartan race in October.....will be my first mud run/obstacle course.

    Sent you a friend request

I tried to start a C25K program twice and felt the first workout to be ridiculously difficult, so I went back to walking. A month later and I'm slowly adding in a little bit of jogging. I guess you could call me an aspiring runner?

I am a seasoned runner. Quit smoking 16 yrs ago, gained weight, bought a treadmill, started walking, then jogging, ran a 5K and I was hooked. I have 2 full marathons under my belt, and multiple 1/2's, and tons of 5ks,10ks etc. I only run 4 days a week due to working 12 hours shifts the other 3 days. I am always looking for more running friends.

I am a novice runner - I am only 26 weeks old in my running age!

I started running back in January.
I have taken three 10week courses and can run 5km.

I am not sure I am ready to jump into a 10km training program and I am considering re-joining the 5km group for another go around to build a stronger foundation.

  • "Wannabe runners." Haha, I think thats what I am. I've been runing for about 3 months and just completed my second 5k. It was tough but I beat my previous time. I'd love to have more running friends who can be encouraging and that I can learn from. I'd love to be able to do the Music City half marathon next year. Feel free to add me!

Sent you a request. Longest run is 12 miles and that's about as far as I ever really want to go. Prefer the physique of a sprinter over marathon runner. Was running an average of 35 miles a week off road on dirt trails before injuring my ankle. Signed up to do a Tough Mudder event in September so hoping to be healed before then to resume training. Currently do resistance work a few times a week and walk 3-5 miles daily. :)

    Hey Miguel!
I'm just a moderate endurance runner who uses the treadmill on an incline 3 times a week or so - no races or marathons for me
I'm averaging about 6-8km per run with a goal of 10km sometime in the next few weeks.
Feel free to add me :flowerforyou:

    Hello!

I'm a fellow running addict - training up to do a half marathon in October. I'm carrying a couple of injuries at the moment so having to manage them quite carefully; so 2-4 runs per week, short runs 10km (6mi), long runs 19-20km (11-12mi) and a lot of gym work.

I'd love to connect with similar runners to hear their training patterns / workouts and tips.

Long-time runner here, who has been sidelined quite a bit in recent years after a car accident and misdiagnosed injury.

Anyway, I'm finally on the right path and hoping to get back into training by the end of this year. Working on rebuilding my basic technique at the moment. I'm also studying to become a yoga teacher. I'm finding yoga and running to be a good match.

I'm always happy to add runners for inspiration and motivation. Love to talk about running!

Just started running myself to try and shift some of the weight faster, I run a 10k race in 5 weeks and I attempted to run my first 10k on Saturday. I managed it in 1hour 10 which is not too bad considering my lack of practice, I was a bit stiff all day yesterday but feel like doing it all again today.

I would love to add some like minded peeps, so I welcome any new friends too.

    HI,

I just finished up C25K and my first 5K is at the end of August. I started running again this past May. I used to run years ago, and decided to pick it up again. Going to stick with it this time!! Any runners feel free to add me too.

    Hiya,
I started running a few months ago and am completely hooked! I've signed up for my first race in September, a 10k trail through a forest and across a beach. There's a half marathon next March here too, which I'm contemplating signing up for. It'd be 2 days after my bday too - we will see how I do on my 10k :) feel free to add me.

Hi Miguel. I started running about one year ago and am now completely addicted, running around 50 mpw. My favourite race distance is 5K because it's over quickly! Friend request sent.

Feel free to add me too! I just.. literally just downloaded the C25K app and my hubbie bought me new running shoes last week. I did the C25k last summer and only madei t to week 4 or 5 before the shin splints and blisters sidelined me but now I have a good pair of asics for running and I'm hoping to make it a little further (like all the way to a 10k) this year.
