Going over calorie intake

Hey I have a quick question. I have been really good about sticking to my 1200 calorie a day diet but today I accidentally went 450 calories over. If I burn those 450 off at the gym will I be back where I supposed to be? I was so annoyed because I have been so dedicated up until this point! Thank you!!

It takes 3500 calories to create a lb. of fat. That 450 cals won't make a difference as long as it's not every day. In fact, a calorie spike every once in a while sometimes helps people break plateaus.0

I wouldn't worry about it. I have found that the occasional high calorie day will keep the fire burning a little hotter. Just wait at least 8-10 days until your next one.0

Thank you so much!! I just went to the gym and ran/walked and burned about 450 calories and stretched...I feel a lot better! I might eat a greek yogurt or some cheerios.0

at 1650 calories, you probably didn't even hit your maintenance calories. So no big deal.0
