My pants are too tight on my thighs/quads.

Shall I lose muscle or avoid gaining it? Muscle which is healthy, strong, very hard to build, increases life expectancy, prevents injury and looks damn good in a pair of shorts?
Or shall I keep shopping for pants that fit better, or buy a size up and go to the tailor?
Decisions. Decisions.

You can bring MC Hammer pants back into fashion.0

I've always had this problem...and also with my calves....makes shopping for pants hard....I tend to wear skirts and dresses, much easier. But I do feel your pain.0
-
Get implants for you calves. Then you can go up a pant size and fill them out.0
-
I now have this problem with jeans, I'm stuck with loose cut or none0
-
Leggings. They stretch .
That is a fine arm muscle you've got going on too.....is that giving you a problem with short-sleeved shirts?0 -
-
Sounds like you pants are actually too big in the waist. Have them altered.0

stop wearing skinny jeans.0

I have the same "problem"...
thats why all my jeans are "loose fit bootcut".... but they fit snug. I will never fit in "regular" cut jeans.. nevermind skinny jeans.. lol.0 -

I have the same problem.....I wear stretchy denim jeans with 2 or 3% lycra in them. I also stay away from skinny jeans.0

atleast thats an option for you.
guys dont wear stretchy jeans...
well.. MEN dont wear stretchy jeans.0 -
Meh, I just make sure the denim pants I buy have some lycra/spandex in them. Pants have always fit me weird, so I just gave up finding a super awesome pair under 180$. I try to either wear shorts or dresses.
*Also, All the pants I buy are too loose in the waist, and just under my butt. So... it would be hard to tailor under the butt so it would get over my thighs. People always rave about how awesome my legs look, so I guess thats the price we pay.0 -

Pedal - try the curvy or modern fit @ Ann Taylor. Makes a big difference.
I have the problem with my pants being too tight in the thigh...but only on the right?? Should I stick to working out only the left side for a while to even them out? :laugh:0 -
This threads just made me feel a lot better. I have this problem too and really upsets me!0

Ha ha! Noted...I see lots of those emo guys wearing them. though...but I think they are girls jeans they are wearing. Totally not hot IMO either....I don't need my man raiding my closet anytime soon At least MEN can get away wearing baggy jeans...it just makes me look fat if they aren't fitted.0 -
I have this exact same problem! My thighs have become really muscular, and I love the way they look but it's making my pants really tight in the legs. I also try to only buy pants with some stretch in them.
I've heard running is a great way to tone and slim, as well as circuits!0 -
Trouser jeans ROCK.0

You can bring MC Hammer pants back into fashion.
This is the only sensible option left.0 -

Only if they're metallic gold. SHINY metallic gold.0 -
OMy! Saw this and I totally relate to the pants vs. thigh issue..
Anyone remember the earlier Harem Pants of the late '70s/early '80s? Those "harem pants" were pre-Hammer, high waisted and had soft pleated and/or draping fabric around the hips and thighs.
I miss them! I wish they would bring them back but without the drop-crotch style of Hammer pants, otherwise I'm stuck with my Relaxed Riders0 -

HA! Love it!0 -
Same problem... Large thighs, large calves and a small waist.... Pants that fit my waist I can't squeeze over my legs and pants that fit my legs are too big in the waist and bunch with a belt. I wish I had an answer for you but I'm still trying to find it myself....0

I was being sarcastic. I love my muscles. It would be dumb to try to make my body fit clothing instead of finding clothes that fit my body.0
