My dad taught me this:
Actions = Consequences.
Whatever I do will have an effect somehow, good or bad and I need to accept the fact that if I make the choice knowing what the possible/probable repercussions will be, I cannot blame anyone but myself.
I chose to do the action, and I will accept whatever comes of it. I choose to binge on pizza one night? I will take the sodium hit and scale change and not complain. I choose to break into someones house? I accept the fact that i if I am caught I could die from the homeowner taking a shot at me.
Life is choices and we have to make the best ones for us and accept the fact that everything we do has a consequence. We need to accept that and by choosing to do an action, I also choose to accept the consequences of that action.0 -

"Take care of you first, if you don't, then who will?"
Mine is kind of like this one - "Stand up for yourself, if you don't then who will?"
It's always stuck with me because I have always been 'the nice girl' aka a total pushover - people used to take advantage of my kindness and I wouldn't stand up for myself or what was right. That advice really changed me and my outlook. Now... I stand up for myself and what I believe in and it's taken me far in life.0 -
Do not compare yourself (or your journey) to others. Getting inspired by others is great, but stay focused on your game, and it's a journey, not a sprint.
